Should have the Dr's info on the embassy's site in your country.

Regarding history of vaccines, if you can't find your history. You can get a blood test, vaccines levels will show up in your results.

you cant  do the immigration medical before they approve your case you can however get ablood test done for its best to get the records

One last question (LOL),

I don't think she ever did any vaccines ( I'll ask her if that's true) so in case she never, I'd assume she needs to do ALL that are listed on the DOS website, right?

Hi all,

My spouse doesn't have any Vaccinations documents on her. I want her to get it done before medical to save some time. I saw the list of vaccinations on the US DOS website that she has to obtain but the website doesn't say from where she has to obtain them.

Will you people please share your experience?

Thanks & Have a great day. Hope we get to see more CC this week/.

its different in different countries. For myself I'm going to my medical with records of just one vaccination. They will do a blood test to see if i have others, and will give me what i don't yet have evidence of.

My suggestion, have her do a blood test, bring those results to your medical visit. Or bring the results to a Dr where they can provide the required vaccines. Then bring that to her medical. Some vaccines may require multiple injections  to bring up the levels.

For those of you who called to get their DS261 reviewed over the phone, what exactly does that mean? We just called a couple of hours ago even though we havent received the welcome letter yet, so the lady on the phone said something about us "getting ahead" or something (doing things before we are instructed to by the nvc) but it sounded like she said she would review it for us. After that my husband asked another question to which she answered to and then mentioned something about us having to wait for the e-mail, so now I am not sure if she reviewed it or not 🙄... still shows on CEAC that review is in process just like before we called. Should we call again or just wait it out....

I understand your concern...even I was thinking in the same lines as you are few months back...

  • The panel physicians are aware of what vaccinations that the immigrant need to possess. The classification is just available to them and not to us.
  • For example, there is a list of all vaccinations on the USCIS website, but I got hold of a report from somebody who had already gone through the same procedure and not all vaccinations were marked as mandatory for her. Some of them were marked as not required. Like Hep B was marked not mandatory for her.
  • I also heard another experience where the person took the vaccinations even before the NVC asked to and she had to be re-administered again.

I am sure your wife would have got MMR when she was a kid...try to get records. If she has no records (even I don't have) it is still ok. She would be tested for everything needed and administered what is necessary ONLY.

Yes, or have her call the medical visit center now. Ask them for their advice. As each country may have a different process..

The only way to be absolutely certain about what vaccinations you’ve received is to gather your medical records—from childhood, from high school, and from adulthood. Contact your current and former doctors and request your immunization records; your current doctor can help you determine whether or not you’re up to date.

If you can’t remember all of your past doctors, however, or if your records are unavailable for some reason, there are still a few steps you can take to determine your vaccination status.

Testing for Immunity

For certain diseases, your doctor can perform a test for evidence of immunity, whether from a prior vaccination or an infection. In the case of varicella (chickenpox), for example, a blood test can show whether or not you’re immune to the disease. Alternatively, if a health care provider can verify that you had previously been diagnosed with chickenpox, you don’t need to worry about receiving the chickenpox vaccine: that prior infection will provide immunity.

One test that is frequently performed for women who are planning to become pregnant is the test for rubella immunity. A rubella infection in a pregnant woman can lead to congenital rubella syndrome in her child—an infection that can cause severe developmental abnormalities and death. As such, women who plan to become pregnant may be tested for immunity to rubella and vaccinated against it if necessary. (Rubella vaccination is contraindicated after a woman has become pregnant.)
