Hello NVC filers!

My case was recently approved and finally sent to NVC on April 14, 2017.

My husband and I are preparing AOS and IV packages and we came up with this question related to Tax information.

My husband met the requirements for the poverty line income in 2016 but not in 2015 and 2014.

Will he need to find a joint sponsor for the year of 2015 and 2014?

Thank you so so much for your help in advance.

DO we have to write the case number on every document we send? Even i864s?

its in their instructions, as it keeps everything together if a piece of paper gets lost. But it won't affect whether you get approved or not.

I guess you have already completed all the forms & fees

  • DS261
  • AOS fee
  • IV fee
  • DS260
  • Sent in the AOS & IV package

"Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence"& "Civil Documents" shall always remain N/A.

On your case complete your "Affidavit of Support Fee" would change to N/A from paid. And hence you would have 3 N/As.

I just sent the IV and AOS in on Friday - April 21, 2017. The NVC Should recive the paperwork Monday- April 24, 2017. Now what do I do wait? Hope everything on checklist is ok.

I posted in the case complete to interview thread, but just updating on here too.  We got case complete 14th April, file arrived at embassy 21st April and was cleared over the weekend from the mailroom to office, and today they contacted me with an interview date.  May 4th!!! That's next week, as in 8 days away!! (I had an expedite agh they had this one spot free... otherwise they're booked up til end of May).

Currently awaiting calls from the medical practitioners closest to me to set up my medical asap and running round like a maniac to prepare documents.   My embassy requires "originals" etc to be delivered to them the week prior to the interview, so when I travel up for my medical (2.5hrs away) I will also drop off paperwork. Hopefully I can get a medical this week!

yesterday I felt so far away from the end of this process, and now I'm all flustered that its happening so soon. I'll be flying within days of getting my visa packet, but my husband will be leaving most likely end of next week.

at my medical they do a blood test to see what you have and haven't had, and then just give you the essential immunisations> its worth checking what your individual country does. You can check here:

Slight correction:  Apparently she wrote "tuesday" and "4th May" and those two things don't match. My interview is 4th May, which is 10 days away.
