Hello everyone. We already sent our documents to the NVC and the courier company shows its delivered. However when I go the CEAC site, under visa satus check, it keeps showing a pop-up with a sign reading "Action Required: Submit Requested Documents".

I wanted to pick your heads and see how long it took for the NVC to scan your documents once they were delivered? Does this message change when the NVC has scanned your documents?

No it doesn't change, you need to call to find out scan date also nvc representative will ask you if you submit form 260

And does anyone know how long would it take to get interview schedule for Mumbai, India consulate?

Scan Date: Feb 10.  9 weeks 4 days.

congratulations, normally it took them a week to send an email saying your case is complete, i suggest you call NVC to confirm :)

Just rang the nvc now and on hold for 24 minutes! Geez , they really wont even share infotmation on what scan dates are alreafy in the review department. Better in this forum, we update ourselves on who get ccs.. But the lady was so nice to tell me not to worry on my AOS typo error coz if its just minor ul just have to bring another to ur interview! Such a relief it kills my paranoia haha

that's nice to know :)

it's normal being paranoid :) i was paranoid as well while waiting for CC,

may i suggest you to call NVC at around   EST 7:00am to 7:30am and EST 11:00-11:30PM
to avoid waiting too much before talking to a rep

Hi everyone,

It appears that email processing is so much faster than mailing in the supporting docs. Could it be simply because there is a backlog of mailed documents sitting in the mailroom waiting to get scanned and uploaded into the NVC System?

When you say "scan date", does it mean your documents have arrived at the NVC or that they were physically scanned into their system?

For example, I'm looking for something like the following.

Tracking says mail arrived on:

NVC confirms documents arrived on:

NVC scans documents on:

NVC reviewed documents on:

Received cc (case complete) on:

Yea its a pain waiting 3 months at this stage and then another 1.5 months till interview day AFTER that.

I wish they could just hire more staff and charge a bit extra if the delays are purely due to human labour. :|

\!

NVC confirms documents arrived on:

NVC scans documents on:

NVC reviewed documents on:

Received cc (case complete) on:

Your second and 3rd lines are the same. Basically the "scan date" is a term they don't use there. You can ask them when your documents show as received, that's the date they grabbed your file from the mailroom, scanned the front page into their system, and started the countdown.
You won't know the exact date they start reviewing your documents on, but from around week 9 or 10 you can ask if they have started reviewing your documents.  in my case the friendly rep said "I can see your documents have moved from the file room to the dept that reviews them, if you don't hear from us by XXX date please contact us, but its likely you'll hear from us before then"  Basically you only need the following :

Tracking says mail arrived on:

NVC scans documents on:

Received cc (case complete) on:

Bear in mind case complete will show well before you receive an email from them telling you so. There were a few days between for me.  When your status in CEAC changes from Submit required documents, to "at NVC" you have case complete.  This is also the same timing that you'll find the 3 N/As everyone talks about.  Hope that helps!

No idea about the email processing vs mail processing. I suspect its different depts but can't be sure.  I decided not to be upset about those as its outside my control, if I don't have the option of email.

They counted trom my scan date to when I would hit 11 weeks to give the date when I should hear from them by (to be honest I got case complete within that time, but my email from them was a day after my 11 weeks).  From when I was told my files have moved to the review dept it was either 6 or 8 days (I can't recall now)
