If it lets you click on it to pay, I would pay. Normally it's the AOS fee first and then once that's processed the IV fee unlocks. In saying that though, we paid our AOS fee, said it was paid and then paid the IV fee but now it looks like the AOS never left our bank account and it got rejected so we have just paid again. It's all very strange 😜

Thanks! will pay process the payment :)

This wait is so painful.   2 weeks passed. another 9 weeks to go.

My daughter might go through a surgery soon. I'm wondering whether we should request expedite so I can join em during that time.

its worth a try, medical expedites are possible.  However before requesting it please ensure you have evidence or they won't consider it.  You'll want your daughters birth certificate showing you as the parent, the doctors letter suggesting surgery and the reason, and any other evidence to support your case. You'll email the nvcexpedite email with that evidence and a good explanation and request. They'll then send it to your embassy who will make the decision (NVC is just the messenger in the case of expedites).
In case  you're not aware, there are two levels of expedite.  Consulate expedite = you wont wait for the "scheduling week" to get an appt date, but you'll still go through normal processing at NVC.  NVC expedite = The embassy will request your file from NVC and the review of documents that you're currently in will be handled by the embassy instead.  I've received both responses so if you end up with an email response and don't know which it is, feel free to message me.

Has your husband received his police certificate yet? I submitted my application online and received it back within a week. They're usually quite quick.

His endorser didn't pick up the phone when the police called, delaying us by a week+ and we didn't realize it until a week after.

They sent him a confirmation email of receipt about 2 weeks after it was submitted because of the delay so 4/18.  Since he's on a plane right now headed towards me...we probably won't get it until he returns in a week and a half.

I'm crying silently inside as I think about "scan date" :(

And wow, you got approved fast.  Did you expedite by any chance?  Took us 6 months for NOA 2 from 9/26 PD without any checklists.  Glad to see more UK folks :D

Oh no, that's such a shame. On the bright side, at least you'll get to see your husband, and the police certificate should arrive by the time he gets back. :)

No we didn't expedite, our petition went to Texas Service Center! We're just waiting for the case number now.

Yes I agree, it's nice to see more UK folks! I hope you have a great week and a half together!

My husband called the NVC this morning at 7 and we got the case number and IIN, but they said they're just processing it or something, so we still have to wait for the welcome e-mail I guess? Tried logging into CEAC and couldn't yet. Should I try again tomorrow or after they e-mail us?
