Quick question -> i just called NVC and they mentioned my case is being worked on and is in Review department.

 

Does anyone know approx time it takes for CC once the case is moved to review department?

You'll be soon.  Mine moved to the dept that reviews the file about 8 days  before I got case complete.

I'm 21 and am a citizen of the U.S, I filed for my husband who still lives in my home country and I've known since a child. I'm in the NVC stage and my patience is wearing thin. I'm about two weeks in at the NVC, and about 10 months in this whole process all the while juggling school and work. Please tell me the end is in sight sooon?????!!!!

Just got off the phone with the NVC, case just went into review today.  Scan date February 3.  Hopefully no checklists and come out with that "N/A"!

After NVC receives your welcome packet, it takes up to 11 weeks to review.  Since you sent it March 24 (your timeline didn't reflect a received/scan date), it'll probably take another 2-3 months before a case complete.  Then, depending on the interview availability at the embassy, another 1-2 months for the interview process.  You can check the forums for case completes or follow the timelines of others on visajourney with a similar scan date as yours.

 

Compared the the 10 months you've been through, 3 -5 months is nothing.  We'll all make it through, as painful as it might be.

I've called the NVC and they said they've received it on March 28th 2017, I didn't know whether or not to equate that to a "scanned date"

So dissapointed with nvc today. My wife's case is already approved (3na's). Mine is still pending, Nvc told me that i864 is missing and they're requesting for another copy and once they got it wait for another 11weeks. I told them why is it going to take another 11weeks since its their fault. My son(petitioner) requested for a supervisor and he was advised that they will double check it. Is it 11weeks again in case they really need another copy even if its their fault?

Yes.  In that case your timeline would be March 28 + 11 weeks + 1,2 months for interview given there are no checklists or delays .

The good news is that now they've extended their processing times to 11 weeks, we are rarely seeing reports of people going beyond this. In fact I may be wrong but I don't think I've seen any in weeks (apart from existing checklist cases).  So you can expect 11 weeks at NVC, then the interview wait which depends on the country but seems to be from case complete to actually doing the interview in about 6-8 weeks.  The end is in sight :-)

I am...so jealous.  We are hoping after settling in the states to weigh our options in other states or perhaps even the UK after restrictions are lifted.  I was definitely raised in the wrong state!  Hope you get your case complete notification soon!

yep they don't use the term scanned date, they say "I can see we received your documents on .....".. That is your scan date

I would suggest seeing if your congressman can do anything. Look them up on the house.gov website, they have a "communicating with agencies" form and instructions. Explain the situation along with case numbers and see whether they can get NVC to move your file dates closer together.  I personally don't think it'll take the whole 11 weeks but I can't say for sure, Ive never had any checklists.  You could also contact your embassy and ask if there's anything they can do.

Do you mean the vaccination record you take to your medical to show what immunisations you've previously had?  Some will do a blood test to see if its in your system, but if not, or even regardless of this, they'll just re-immunise you against all the things they have listed.  You don't have to take a vaccination record to the medical, they just suggest doing so to ensure they don't give you more than you need.
