i taught it would be 9 months sigh its been longer but thankfully we are at nvc now and the end is almost near

AOS fee shows PAID usually a day or two after bank sends the payment.

IV Fee can take about a week after DS 261 is reviewed (which is why you should call NVC to review the moment after you submit it)

Not sure if the process is the same with a lawyer - I think both fees are suppose to unlock simultaneously.

 

11 weeks is the expected review time for the Affidavit of support and Civil docs once NVC reviews them.

hey lin# is the same number i used to check uscis ???? or am i supposed to be using nvc case number to check on my case???

JUST GOT THE 3rd N/A... going to call in the morning to check, but since CEAC has also changed to "at NVC" I feel pretty confidant saying...

Is any one having scan date Feb 10th and got their case completed?

My scan date is Feb 10 and still haven't heard anything from NVC.

On a side note, can anyone answer the below regarding previous employment gaps for the DS 260?  Hoping perhaps some of you within this forum chain could shed some light.

On the DS 260, i heard all gaps must be listed but it seems it requires an address, supervisor's name, as well as a contact number.

 

I filled it out in the following manner:

• Employer Name: Unemployed
• Address:  His residence during that time
• Telephone Number: His cell number
• Job Title: Unemployed
• Supervisor's Surnames/Give Names: Selected "Do Not Know:

 

 

Couldn't find any forum posts related to unemployment gaps, only those who were fully unemployed previously.  Any advice or suggestions? Is this acceptable?  

Just a tad bit worried they might flag this for some odd reason.

I can't answer that question, but how far back into employment history do you have to go? I had a tonne of jobs in my 20's that I'd never be able to account for accurately. Before my current job though I worked for the same company for 11 years. I'm hoping I don't have to put anything prior to that position.

He's been with his current company for 3 years or so, 3 months unemployment prior, then 12 years in the military before that.  

DS 260 requires 10 years so I'd have to include that 3 month gap  but you won't.

 

Anyone else have any advice?  Save me from a potential checklist!!!
