@jagrutrx - India unfortunately does not fall into countries with Email processing.

Yes.  W2 is to establish income if you don't have an IRS transcript .  If you're submitting your taxes, include all associated W2s and 1099s.

If you are sending copies and w2s for 2016, do you need 2013 too...?

After April 18, 2016 is required or proof you filed for an extension.  The two years prior are optional.  If you are not including them, make sure you indicate this accordingly in the I-864 as needed.

Yeah, her husband didn't file for an extension, just hasn't got the transcript for 2016 yet and then she said she would send transcripts for 2013-2015 and copies of 2016 filed taxes + w2s so I was wondering if the 2013 is really needed in this case

I asked my embassy as i have a wedding to attend in the USA ... they suggested it would be frowned upon, as my interview could be scheduled anytime, and my current visitor visa allows me to stay in the USA beyond that timeline.  I was advised I would "more than likely" be refused entry this close to completion of my application. 

I have seen people do so successfully, but I personally decided not to risk it. I'll be travelling with a baby also and don't want to subject her to that amount of travel (14 hours) only to be sent back on the next plane.

This is the same one I have B1/B2 visa ...I've had it for 8 years so far ...  see my previous post for some input on whether travel is advisable at this stage.

I'm officially in week 11, and NVC just confirmed that my file has moved to the department that does the reviews.  It's no longer sitting in abyss of the file room. Eeeek so excited!!   It's not case complete yet but it's progress at least.  Lovely guy on the phone too, very friendly and helpful, and I found out they don't get good friday off so they will work through.  (I think thats a little mean of an employer to do that, but I did tell him how much I appreciate their hard work and wished him a happy easter)

 

He also said that "IF it was to take the whole 11 weeks... and we are saying up to 11 weeks at the moment ... then you should expect to hear from us by email by the end of the 18th April.  But it could be done any day now".  

Getting there one step at a time. Oh and calling first thing is awesome, I didn't even get any hold time on the phone!
