How do I access the AOS? AOS= Affidavit of Support.

I guess you have already completed all the forms & fees

  • DS261
  • AOS fee
  • IV fee
  • DS260
  • Sent in the AOS & IV package

"Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence"& "Civil Documents" shall always remain N/A.

On your case complete your "Affidavit of Support Fee" would change to N/A from paid. And hence you would have 3 N/As.

Do call the NVC if you haven't had a confirmation that they have your package. And that would be your scan date.

That starts the time of 11 weeks(current time to Case Complete), unless you are doing Email Processing!

Well Yes.. if you have everything ready according to the Document coversheet. Basically  your case would not move ahead if you either have not sent in the AOS & the IV packages or either the DS260 is pending. I believe you have submitted your DS260, so its time to send in the packages.

So please make sure you have everything in accordance to your document coversheet (to avoid further delay & to avoid a checklist from the NVC)and send it over.

The current wait time is 11 weeks and if NVC feels that your documents are missing they would issue a checklist asking you to submit them. Your second submission would reset your timer and you would have to wait for another 11 weeks. So just make sure that you have every document in place.

Good Luck!

What happens if I only sent federal tax returns with no accompanying W2's.

Anyone can modify or change a federal tax return since it is not proof of your income which is why they ask for the accompanying W2s and any 1099s.

You'll get a checklist. Get an IRS transcript or include your W2s and accompanying 1099s.
