It's your current job. Hard to tell if they look at it after you submit it.

After having the case complete, I got a cheklist. LUCKLY it says that I don't have to submit it to the NVC, but rather to just take it to the interview. They asked for the 2015 W-2 (which makes sense for them to not request me to send it to the NVC, since the W-2 is not a mandatory document to be sent).

you may ask them "Are my documents currently being reviewed as we speak?" that worked for me, after few days when the rep told me it is under review / being reviewed as of this moment and will be finish soon (i got my case completed 3 days after)

please try to call NVC everyday and confirm your scan date, don't stop calling until they gice you a scan date.  scan date sometimes may be 2-5 working days, for some it is longer.. for me, unfortunately  took 2  months (when i sent the documents, i didnt call them and waited for 8 weeks before calling NVC (which of course is my fault) i assumed that  scan date would be when my documents were delivered to NVC

 

you may still call to follow up, once or twice a week, to let them know you are persistent to know the status, they may answer you the same way everytime

but hoping you'd get the chance to talk to a nice representative, and please take note there are some cases that case gets completed earlier than 11 weeks.. goodluck

A checklist after CC? NVC is so disorganized! I keep following up with them about the documents we supposedly never emailed and I have the email here in front of me with the documents clearly included in it. They also said we never signed the AOS but I have the signature right in front of me. Even when I called them on the phone they said they had the AOS on their screen and that there was no signature. How is that even possible?

They need the Canadian visa for both myself and my spouse(we are UK/Irish citizens living in Canada). It is veru frustrating because none of the documents listed as required included this and I ran everything by the lawyer before sending them. He said we were not missing anything.

 

Is a checklist a guaranteed 8+ further weeks or do they sometimes process checklist documents faster? Does calling up and begging for a supervisor to review (esp when it is just one extra document per person) ever work? Very depressed by this.

 

Technically they do ask for you to provide it but not in those exact words.  If you don't currently reside in the US and are a US citizen they ask you to show proof that you have retained your life there to some degree AND that your living situation elsewhere is temporary ... basically to show the US citizen has intent to return to their life in the USA, not just grant you a visa and send you on your way. 

We had to include my husbands spouse work visa for nz, and his spouse visa for our previous years in Australia. 

 

I hope they review your extra documents quickly for you.

Called yesterday and was told by a very nice rep that our application has finally made it to the review department. I am literally having nightmares about receiving a checklist. I can handle an assessment letter, but a checklist will break me. I am so ready for this nerve-racking process to be over!

so close, i feel you hahaha this checklist is giving me anxiety. seems like the morning shift people are much nicer though.

CASE COMPLETE! Just called NVC now and they confirmed it! Logged in and saw the famous 3 N/As!!! I cannot express how happy I am right now. Maybe we can still get a May interview date!
