Seems like there are only two options here. If they claim something's missing or not valid, you can send the documentation with correction. In case you believe you sent the right one then they have to request the review which is basically second look.

In regular processing, any time you send them something, that's going to reset the scan date. Essentially you can choose between 11 weeks or 6 weeks for review.

Now, how's that related to the Email processing is the question.

Yeah, I have the feeling it would be faster with email. I went ahead and had the documents sent again just in case there was really an error on our part, but I really doubt it after looking at the specific items they said were missing and seeing them all there in the email we sent. Even if the scan date is reset, that would mean within 2 weeks I would hear something back from them, in theory. We shall see.

Yeah, I was going to advise you doing so. It can't hurt you with Email processing but it can definitely help you avoiding 6 weeks review timeframe.

They said we were missing some documents and that the signature was not dated. Our attorney filed everything so it seemed odd to me that they would have made a mistake like that. I contacted my attorney and they confirmed that everything had been filed correctly. So I called NVC again to see what the heck had happened.

I was told that the representative I previously spoke with submitted a request for "supervisor review" of our documents (would have been nice if he would have told me that he was going to do that!!!). The person I spoke with this time said that perhaps the person who reviewed our documents the first time made an error, so a supervisor is now going to have a closer look at it. This sounds like National Visa Center made a mistake. It amazes me how they could have made that kind of an error, but I am relieved they have identified that it is likely they made a mistake. I have seen that checklists with EP are handled quickly, I am just worried that supervisor review could slow us down. The person on the phone said it could take up to 6 weeks, but that less complicated errors are often handled sooner than that.

I am calling again to request to speak with a supervisor who can review this now because this is their mistake and I should not be forced to wait longer because they screwed up.

That really sucks. If you can see the email with what's attached it's pretty simple to see if it's correct or not. Surely the person who alleges it was wrong just simply looks again. How hard can that be?? Good to know it was reviewed after two weeks though.

Yeah, it really does. I mean, 2 weeks for them to take a look at the case is super fast and I am grateful it has been touched. Grateful that I probably will not be waiting too long to get a response, hopefully. But it still sucks knowing I could have had CC today and that now I have to keep waiting because some knucklehead over at NVC chose not to review my case carefully enough. Hopefully that worker gets a mark on their record for this, haha

I will just keep the faith and resume my previous state of "any day now" mentality

Does anyone know if it matters who sends the email to the NVC. I'm not the USC but do most of the preparing and know more about the whole thing than my wife. Does it have to come from her email since she's the USC or does it not matter?

Also, is everyone getting a letter from their place of work to verify employment.  If completing the I864EZ it doesn't ask for that or payslips but it seems that most in here include it anyway.
