No. Usually takes about a week but I've seen cases recently where it took 2 since USCIS didn't send it out until a week or two after the approval date.

 

Just keep calling daily to check.  Some reps are a little more impatient so call until you get one who will check the system for you.  7-9AM EST is the best time to call for no hold time.

From what I've been reading, seems like they only offer limited expedites to non-immigrant visa applicants although I'm sure for emergency situations, they may consider an expedite:  https://specialrelationship.uk/2015/02/12/januarys-most-popular-question-is/

Yeah this all makes sense - totally get it. Just wish there were an awesome little calendar for me to drop in on. 

 

I mean you'd like to think they'd have some form of cancellation system to avoid wasted time when people inevitably rearrange interviews. I'm going to call back tomorrow and try speaking to another advisor...sometimes you get the new kid y'know.

sorry but from what is being said on here we check from the time your documents are scanned meaning your case goes into review ...

Mar 22, 2015 - "Your scan date is the date that the NVC receives your financial and civil documents. You should receive an email to confirm once they have received" thats what was said in a VJ forum.

1. Complete Fees
2. Complete DS 261
3. Complete DS 260
4. Send files to NVC
5. NVC Receives files
6. NVC Enters files into their system - SCAN DATE
7. NVC reviews your files (11 weeks)
8. If more information is needed, RFE is sent and your SCAN DATE will reset when additional documents are received and you'll need another 11 weeks for review
9. NVC completes/approves your case - CASE COMPLETE

AOS jus showed PAID how soon would I be able to pay the IV fee??

Scan date is the day nvc says they recieved package.

I did three things in one day...

 

1-choose the agent 

2- pay for the AOS 

3-sen the package of to NVC 

 

I called an the rep said it's ok to send the package without completing the IV application it won't affect the process.

You can send your documents before the ds260 is done but nvc just won't review it until the ds260 is sent..

Should have asked my husband to request the police certificate earlier   Didn't realize.  Thanks for confirming.
