It seems every case is different, some the status changes, sometimes it doesn't. Mine however did change from "approved" to "case was sent to department of state". It depends on the service center to, I was at Texas & it took them 6 weeks just to mail it & another 2 weeks for NVC to receive it! But other service centers are quicker. I would call USCIS next week & ask if it's been sent yet if you don't see your status change.

Yeah i just hope i put togrther everything nicely. I will have to come with so many explanations. Plus i did not live with my wife for more than a week so i dont have alot of things they are asking. I do not want to give them my personal chat messages plus they are not in english. You know what i am saying :(

No I don’t know what you’re saying but read what I’m saying.

It’s immigration and you don’t want to provide chat logs? You don’t have to provide everything just some parts, so translate. There is no I can’t provide, you have no choice. Plus, they might ask for chat communication at the interview stage.

Update: my husband went for his CR1 interview on February 20, 2018 and was placed on administrative processing as they required some more information (dm me if you want me to be specific). The second interview to submit the information was on April 3, 2018 and he was approved.  He picked up his passport on April 10, 2018 and arrived in the USA on April 14. Upon arrival he was detained for 4 hour as they verified the same issue that placed him on administrative processing and eventually let him go after they we able to verify everything. I guess its not over until its over - I guess the entry point has final say even with an immigrant visa.

Its been quiet the journey as we had gone through a successful K1 visa journey but in the middle of waiting for his green card application to be approved he had to go back to his country to attend to some family issue and so I had to repetition for spousal immigrant visa CR1. I am so pleased that it was approved and now he is back home and no more stressing. I did everything on my own without a lawyer but I could not have survived the process without you guys' support so thank you.

I wish everyone the best in your journey.  Stay strong, don't give up and don't listen to anyone who tries to discourage (I had some people telling me that the CR1 would not be approved). Every case, story or journey is different but believe in your story, love and goal and you will be successful no matter the obstacles or speed bumps may come your way. This process amongst other things teaches you patience and that I have learnt from all the waiting and not having any control whatsoever.

God Bless!

Hello guys...

NVC received my case on May 2nd.. it has been 20 days so far and I have not gotten a case number still :(

Unfortunately right now it's taking up to 8 to 10 weeks just to get a case number...you may get it sooner though. You can call NVC & see what they say.

I need a suggestion. My mothers interview is on June 4th at Mumbai embassy. But medical will be pending by that time as doctor referred her for further tests that takes 2 months to come back.

Doctor was saying you can not go to interview now until results come back.  But I don't want to trust him with the process.

Should we still go for interview? Any body experienced this situation?

Hello dear friends,

All mu documents which I submitted on CEAC were approved on June 26th.. however, case status still shows "AT NVC". Can anyone of you tell me how to know when the case is completed at the NVC? And approximately how long they will take to schedule the interview after everything has been approved?.

Did you call  NVC to confirm your case is complete? Did you get an email stating you have been "documentarily qualified" and in line to get an interview date? Usually "at NVC" means case complete, but I would call & ask. The interviews are scheduled during the last week & first week of each month. The waiting time depends on each embassy...so I would follow the thread to NVC Filers for July & those interviewing in August to see how long people from your embassy waiting to get an interview. Best of luck!
