Yay! Received three I-797C in the mail yesterday (05/01/2017). Tho it all states that they received all 3 applications and its all in process, the payment information for I-765 is $0.00

We are still waiting for them to cash that specific check.

congrats! :D

I'm curious, since I can't read in your timeline your visa type, are you applying for  cr-1/ir-1?

If that's correct, I'm curious, why did you sent all the forms and the payments in the first package?

:o August..?

I noticed that on the USCIS website but says as of February 28th,2017. Probably has moved a little bit more, this is what I saw on the Processing times tab located above...  shows NSC October 8th, 2016. Hopefully I'm understanding correctly .

So I was curious after your input, and started to check October 2016 I-130 filers and a couple of hours ago someone posted:

" Omg!!!! I'm so excited we finally were approved.

PD Oct 12

Nebraska Office "

It gives me hopes to see people from October and NSC getting approved.

So has anyone else tried to look up their case online using the receipt number and that number comes up as invalid? Of course I had to try to do this after the customer service center has already closed . I looked online and it said it could be going through a background check, etc. But I'm still concerned...

Mine still said received, only that.

how does it shows that to you? in the status says "going through background checkin"?

all our cases will cross that point, some cases get extra scrutiny, but besides of calling USCIS and talking with them, idk what other way we could know when they touch our cases for that.

No it just says this. I tried to call but can't talk to a rep until Monday. I asked "Emma" who is that online computer chat and it said this...

:o

I've received that error, I just retype the number and it shows my case.

Did you try to create a user at USCIS website, and then adding your case number to "my cases"?.

I use 3 methods to check everyday (I know there's no need of that for now, we  all are still far for being processed): my account on USCIS, and 2 app that you can add your case number too.

But even is that is the reason and your case is already at background checking, is a really good sign of progress!.

@ASMS yea I've tried several times to retype my receipt number. And I think like you do. I mean I tried to create a user on the USCIS site... nothing helps. But I'm hoping that it just means progress and not some dumb dumb who didn't enter my info over there in Texas haha! I think I'm going to post this question on the main forum and see if anyone else had this happen...i need to ease my mind!

It was the first time you were trying to check it? are you including all the letters at the beginning of the number?

Yea it's the first time I've checked. I have added the letters. I edited my post earlier to say I will try to post the question on the main forum and hopefully someone else has gone through the same scenario.
