Good news here! We got an Approval Notice on the mail today. On the USCIS website, it still says Case Received. My NOA1 is April 18th (TSC).

Hello to all 

 

I submitted all the paper work (checklist) that my lawyer requested today and she said approximately takes about 4 months to receive a notification for the interview. so I'm assuming it's approximately 4 months to approve the packet and sent it to the consulate. Mine will  be Cuidad Juarez.

 

Anybody has completed their NVC stage or waiting for interview?

Great news guys!! We just got approved 3 hrs ago! I'm elated, I'm happy, I'm full of excitement right now!   Now that our visa journey is over, I wish all of you guys the best of luck with your approvals.  If you need any assistance keep in touch!

Congratulations on your approval sis... what were the questions the CO asked you?

Thx Sis.   I will have to ask my husband.... He was the one interviewed. I'm just getting home from work😪,  so I'll post the questions later today

wow great news congrats. so ur husband is in nigeria and u guys got approved in 9 months. thats not too bad....

4/12/17 - NOA1 Sent to Nebraska

1/10/18 - NOA2

1/18/18 - Case Sent to Department of State

1/25/18 - NVC received case

3/30/18 - Case # and IIN assigned

3/30/18 - Paid AOS and IV fee

4/9/18 - AOS and IV fee Status Changed to Paid

4/9/18 - Submit DS 260 and uploaded AOS and IV package

4/16/18 - Case complete

5/7/18 - Received interview email 

6/4/18 - Interview @ 7am at ISL embassy - Approved :jest:

12-26-17 Case sent to Dept. of State

1-08-18 NVC Received case

3-12-18 Case Number Assigned / AOS & IV Fees Paid

3-14-18 DS-260 Completed

3-16-18 Uploaded Civil Documents

3-21-18 Uploaded AOS Documents 

3-26-18 Checklist to reupload docs

3-29-18 Finished uploading docs

4-4-18 Case Complete

4-13-18 Received interview email

5-18-18 Interview date 

5-24-18 Visa Issued

CONGRATS!!!!! I just recieved our interview letter are it request a bank letter..... Is this to show my balances or just to see if I have an open account in the US.  I am the USC.....

Congrats! I think if you didn't submit account verification letter from your bank with your NVC package than they are asking you to bring that to interview at consulate. Btw what was your scan date?

If you didn't submit this document with your package to NVC and your application was approved, then I wouldn't worry about it.   Unless they ask for it prior to the interview. 

 

Scan date was Oct 30th

My husband said the interview went real quick but here's the questions :

 

Who is petitioning you to come to the US? 

 

How many siblings does your wife have?

 

Does your wife have children?  If so,  what are their names? 

 

Where does she work?

 

How did you meet? 

 

How long did you guys live together?

 

Do you have a picture of you and your wife? (Thank God he did!)

I hope this helps guys.   Just remember to bring all originals of civil documents that you submitted to NVC,  including the receipt for visa payment.   Bring pictures and a positive attitude 😊 and you should be fine.
