Very sorry to be posting horrible news but my husband died suddenly. I'm in shock. He was just here with me, he went home and died. From an immigration standpoint, do I need to do anything? I think if our case clocks out it will make me incredibly sad. There's info on what to do if the petitioner dies, but not the beneficiary.

Thank you for your support. May everyone have a happy outcome.

Thank you- we have no need to continue. I just don't know what to do. We got this far... 12 years.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear this. May he rest in peace. I don't think you have to do anything right now, but maybe eventually contact them and withdraw the petition. But again, don't worry about that now, just focus on getting through this. Wishing you strength and peace through this difficult time.

Hey everyone, I've been following this thread for a while and have found everyone to be really kind and helpful to one another!  So I just wanted to share my update:

Nebraska USCIS office

Husband Australian

NOA1 - April 4, 2017

NOA2 - Jan 2nd, 2018

What a great way to start off the new year!  I've already updated my timeline.  :)  Best of luck to everyone else waiting!  I've been following a few more April and March filers and it looks like they're working their way through them.
