What case number You re talking about ? Is it deferant than the one we use to pay the iOS and the IV ???

Good news here! We got an Approval Notice on the mail today. On the USCIS website, it still says Case Received. My NOA1 is April 18th (TSC).

Hey guys, anyone at NVC stage know if passport pictures are needed at NVC stage or at embassy stage. I am just preparing the documents to send to NVC once they are ready for us. Am I right to say you can choose option to email documents to NVC? If yes, then how do you handle the required 2 x passport picture issue? I mean how do you send them to NVC? I'm asking because I am trying to figure out if we should get the pics now (my husband will have to send them to me via courier since I'm the one who will be the agent) or should save them for embassy stage then I don't have to worry about it. I'm trying to manage time and making sure I have everything with me instead of waiting last minute.

 

Thanks guys for your time. This process can be so confusing at times. I don't want a small detail to delay the whole process I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I couldn't do it without you all's help. God Bless!

April 18, 2017 - Sent I-130 Package to Chicago Lockbox

April 20, 2017 - Chicago Lockbox receives package

April 24, 2017 - Receive email and text - case accepted, receipt # and transferred to Potomac (YSC)

April 28, 2017 - Receive NOA1 hardcopy from Potomac Service Center (Received Date: April 21, 2017, Priority Date: April 19 , 2017 and Notice Date: April 21, 2017)

May 2, 2017   - Finally able to track case on app (was not able to track until after a couple days after receiving the NOA1 hardcopy)

Oct 30, 2017 -  I-130 Approved

Nov 03, 2017 -  Case sent to Department of State (NVC)

Nov 03, 2017 - NOA2 received in the Mail

Nov 13, 2017 - NVC receives file

Nov 25, 2017 - NVC sends Case # and Invoice Number

Nov 26, 2017 - DS-261 (choose an agent) form sent to NVC

Nov 30, 2017 - Receive letter / instructions to pay fees

Dec 1, 2017  -  Affidavit of Support fee and IVF fee paid to NVC via online 

Dec 6, 2017 -   DS-260 submitted

Dec 8, 2017  -  Package delivered at NVC

Dec 12, 2017 - Scan date

Jan 13, 2018 - Case Complete

Feb 20, 2018 - Interview then administrative processing

April 3, 2018 - Second Interview and approved

April 10, 2018 - Pick up passport and visa

April 14, 2018 - Arrived in USA

Finally approved!! I've been checking my receipt number everyday & always says invalid...today it finally worked & said we were approved November 15th!!

Hi All,

 

Anyone applied for I130 at the end of April in the Texas location and has or has not heard back ? Last months update was showing Feb 24 and this month is backwards to Feb 4th or something like it . Can’t seem to make sense of it .

My PD is April 25th and I was approved November 15th. No email or text...on the 17th my receipt number changed from "invalid" to "my case was approved". I received the letter in the mail on the 18th. You should hear something soon!

Congrats ! Finally =) ...on the other hand tsc and nvc are very slow in transferring cases. Case was approved on 10/12  finally received on 11/13 by nvc but no case # yet...still waiting for them to put in system.  Im staying positive though !!

Thanks! I'm just happy the longest wait is over & no RFE! Hopefully I'll have my case number before the new year!

Been reading page by page and I'm sure I've seen this here - is there a summary somewhere of what to do after NOA2? My husband is visiting but leaves Saturday and we want to make sure we have what we can squared away. Sorry for the redundancy.

04/07/2017: Sent I-130 to Chicago lockbox

04/13/2017: Received confirmation text

04/17/2017: Received hardcopy NOA1 (TSC)
