I just looked up the cost to do removal of conditions (if you get the CR-1 by entering before 2 years of marriage). I had no idea it's another $680! Our 2 year anniversary is next August, so I'm considering just slightly delaying the NVC process (unless we get an RFE from USCIS). It's crazy they charge that much!

4-24-17 I-130 sent to Chicago Lock Box

4-25-17 NOA 1 & sent to TSC

1-08-18 NVC Received case

3-12-18 Case Number Assigned / AOS & IV Fees Paid

3-14-18 DS-260 Completed

3-16-18 Uploaded Civil Documents

3-21-18 Uploaded AOS Documents

On the USCIS website does it say sent to NVC? Or just approved?

Mine says approved and I am wondering if I should wait until it says sent before calling. The notice I received in the mail says approved Oct 13.

I am just excited to get this ball rolling!

you should start calling, mine says sent to department of state, but regardless don't count too much on the website

Use the website to inquire about your case. An immigration officer will review it. Sometimes, your background check is not completed and it can delay processing big time. But you should see if an elected representative can help.

Yesterday I was reading about that :/ about the background check, they do that with every people that has a B2 denied, a k1 denied, a B2 cancelled , entry denied at the port of entry, deported people, etc etc, in my case I have a B2 cancelled and the denied entrance at the port of entry, so is for sure they are going to send me to background check, my attorney didn't say anything about it at the beginning but yesterday that I read a lot about it here and saw cases similar to mine, and people with a k1 denied,  I sent a mail to her and told me that was true, they are going to send me to the background check and that's gonna take some time,  and it's not a month plus currently the processing time, it can add 4 months or more in the case of Texas service center, I guess in Potomac can take less time. But now I'm so disappointed 😔😕

You can call  and ask about it, you can ask tier 2 about if is your file under the background check. But I think you should wait  because now you are under normal processing time, but when July turns come and you don't receive any approval, you can call up uscis , tier 2, and ask about it.
