ok I didn't recieve NOA2 yet, but checked my mail today and I got:

Case Was Sent To The Department of State

On October 6, 2017

 

now I am confused, did they actually send it today? or the NOA2 must have been sent weeks ago already and somehow got lost ?

maybe they sent the noa2 days ago and its on the way to your home....

I have been reading you guys for the past weeks. Just wanted to join the conversations and let you know that I received NOA2 in the mail yesterday 10/5. NOA1 4/25.  Today 10/6 I received an email stating that my case is sent to the department of state for visa processing. My questions, do I need to call NVC and give them my email address?

Thank you. Originally Phoenix but was sent to Potomac.

Mine was Potomac as well and PD date 04/24. Did they skip 04/24 and went to 04/25. Its so weird how they work their cases.

Update: called NVC and USCIS, both don't have our file... apparently the file is on the way to nvc, so not gonna know what is the approval date without the hard copy of NOA2 that i will only be able to get a copy of when our file arrives at NVC I guess.

That's how I felt seeing people with 4/14 and 4/20 getting approval since September and I didn't receive anything. It may depend on the officer that's handling your case. Our PD is 4/12 and our case was just approved yesterday 10/05. You'll likely hear something from them by next week 

Just saw receipt number one below and one above got approved today October 6th. PD DATE April 24th. why did they skip my receipt number? God this is so frustrating

We're in the same boat. Our PD date (Potomac) is also 04/24 but no news yet. Frustrating.
