Ever since I was informed (via email on September 14th), about my application being transferred to the NVC, I made it my business to call them at least twice a week.   An agent tried to tell me to wait about a month to call NVC to see if my case was uploaded,  and wait another month to receive my case number and invoice ID.  As you can see below,  everything's happening faster than expected.

NOA1 - Apr 3rd

NOA2 - Sept 6th

Transferred from USCIS to NVC  - Sept 14th

Arrived at NVC - Sept 21

Received my NVC number and invoice ID  - Sept 26

*My advice to all when you reach this stage is to never pay attention to what the NVC agent says,  as far as the processing times.

Thank you for the heads up @MrsAni

I just hanged up from talking to a tier 2 because they transferred me to them and I explained to them that my receipt number comes out as invalid online and they stated they are having technology problems updating all cases. another thing they said my case does not look like it has a problem it was received. and texas is behind 4 months so my PD is april 13th so around december or january my case will be approved.

can it be true?

I submitted 2 petitions i130's one for my mom and one for my husband.

my moms number says received and i had that problem before that it was invalid

Honestly, they are just making stuff up! Every time I've called I've gotten completely different answers, from tier 2 as well. Yes it's possible you might have to wait until December or January, but it's also possible it will happen a lot sooner. Right now Texas is approving between January & early April & there doesn't seem to be any real reason why January filers are waiting so long. All we can do is wait & call every so often in case by some miracle they can say that our case is currently being reviewed. My PD is 4/25, I don't plan on calling until early November.

4-24-17 I-130 sent to Chicago Lock Box

4-25-17 NOA 1 & sent to TSC

11-15-17 NOA 2

12-26-17 Case sent to Dept. of State

1-08-18 NVC Received case

3-12-18 Case Number Assigned / AOS & IV Fees Paid

3-14-18 DS-260 Completed

3-16-18 Uploaded Civil Documents

3-21-18 Uploaded AOS Documents

3-26-18 Checklist to reupload docs

3-29-18 Finished uploading docs

4-4-18 Case Complete

4-13-18 Received interview email

5-18-18 Interview date

5-24-18 Visa Issued

Just got a RFE. Wondering how long should a request for evidence take? Somebody help kindly.

USCIS normally responds to RFE's within 60 days, however they do not have processing times on how long it takes them to respond. It can be longer than that. I would call the USCIS number: 1 (800) 375-5283 and submit a service request, if you do not hear from them soon.

I received one too & and I mailed in what they were asking for. Checked my case number online and they already checked in that they received it. Hopefully it’s not that long until they send me an approval.

My husband and I just received our welcome letter via email from the NVC! I'm in Las Vegas now so I won't be able to do anything until Sunday or Monday.  Well I guess I can pay the fees for now?
