Congratulations! That was quite fast 😊

Mine was expedited April 6 and file status is ready, but still haven't gotten a date😩 I have sent them two emails and they managed to reply back only the first 😩. Does it affect the case if I sent them multiple enquiries? How did you go about it?

Yes I was lucky, its the one spot they had free before end of may!

When did your status change to ready?
My file was case complete at NVC on 14th April (I went through normal NVC processing, my expedite is for the embassy stage only).  Then it changed to In Transit, and on the 21st it said Ready.  I emailed the embassy on that date and they replied after the weekend (3 days later, but one business day) as she said she was waiting to see if my file cleared over the weekend in their office.
You are emailing the consulate, correct?  Don't email NVC as they no longer have your file and can't do anything.

My status changed to ready on April 17th. I emailed the consulate the first time when it was in transit and they replied that they don't have my files yet. Then I emailed them once it was READY and I heard nothing back! Did you get to choose the date yourself or they just gave it to you?

Just wanted to share good news. My husband's CR-1 visa was approved today!

He waited approximately 2.5 hours. They first called him up and asked for supporting documents...passport, marriage certificate, police certificate, birth certificate, 2016 tax return and W-2, proof of relationship (life insurance, wedding invitation, engagement album, wedding album, Honeymoon plane ticket receipts, honeymoon photos, facebook relationship, many photos with our family and friends (initially asked for whatsapp chat logs, but since we live together in Turkey we didn't provide that. My husband told the consular officer we have a lot of other proof). A second consular officer called him later and asked the following questions:
1. How did you meet?
2. What is your job?
3. When/Where did you get married? (we got married in Turkey) Who from your wife's family came to the wedding.
4. Where will you live in the United States

Like most of the other interviews it was about 5 mins and the consular officer was very friendly. They didn't ask for a lot of the other documents we sent to NVC. My husband said he could see the NVC file when he provided the supporting documents and maybe that is why they didn't ask for the other documents.

Hello there, Did they ask for facebook logs In username? And did they also ask for wedding invitation?

They just gave it to me.  Literally my file arrived on a friday, then on monday just before lunch they emailed me with medical instructions and forms, an interview date, and a request for a new police certificate to be signed (mine expired). They advised me they were still to look through my files which can take up to a week, but they wanted to get in touch asap as they only had the one spot for early may.
It's possible they're still going through all your documents. In my case they said as they check them they will let me know if they're missing anything else, but it sounds like the normal thing is that they check it all, then email with interview date, medical instructions, and what's missing if anything.  My embassy is just really personable (for example she told me she had a case of "monday-itis" and asked if I had a good weekend, wished me well for the public holiday day off and told me she plans on relaxing and working on my file on wednesday for me ... it was like talking to a friend lol)

expedites are usually requested while you're still at the NVC stage. Now that you're past that, you will need to contact the embassy directly.  You need to be clear on your request, provide evidence (school enrolments etc) and ask very nicely. HOWEVER they do make it clear to "not make any travel plans until your visa has been issued" so bear this in mind and hopefully you don't have flights booked or something.

Most likely the first week of may they will schedule June interviews, that seems to be consistent with most embassies, but maybe look for others from your country. There are country specific forums too.

They didn't ask for facebook relationship, but we provided it instead of chat logs since we lived together in Turkey.  You can go to a friends page on facebook and there is an option to show relationship.  Essentially, it documents all of the posts with that particular individual.

Today NVC sent me the following email:

"Dear Sir/Madam

The National Visa Center (NVC) is pleased to have scheduled your immigrant visa interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate overseas. Please take a moment to tell us about your experience with NVC and our new "electronic processing" model, where applicants submit documents to NVC via e-mail.

Please complete the brief online survey at https://www.research.net/r/nvcsurvey1. This survey is anonymous; you will not be asked for your case number or other personal information. We value your honest feedback and suggestions as we work to improve our customer service.

Note the above link will take you to a website that is not maintained by the U.S. Department of State.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this survey.

Regards,

National Visa Center"

You're right on that impression of 60days, considering my own experience so far. My wife's case was closed on March 23rd and we're here still waiting for interview date for Lagos US embassy.

Hi, My case has completed on 4/20 and haven't heard anything from NVC, and my status still says 'AT NVC'.  When will that change to Transit or Ready.  I called yesterday and they said, nvc is still waiting to schedule an interivew.  How long will that take?

Your scan date will be either when NVC scanned your documents or when you filed the D-260 whichever is the latest date. In your case it would be Feb 21.
