You will need a copy of her signed 1040 form from 2016 (if official tax transcripts are not available) and copy of W2 ( from both jobs) and a new signed i-864 form including the 2016 info.

her 2016 tax papers are ready but she have just 24,000$ on her 2016 tax paper.we need over 25,500$ for 3 household.

I have a question.  So, I have a joint sponsor for my wife's CR1.  Interview will be May 8.  My joint sponsor filed an extension for 2016 taxes. On the P4 from the consulate, they asked for the last taxes filed.  Do you guys think this will be acceptable?

maybe bring W2, in case they ask?!

(that's what I did for my interview. Interview Date: Mar. 21st)

If that is the case, then you will need a co-sponsor that earns $25,500 or more (depending on his/her household number) He/she would need to fill the form and provide with the tax forms and W2s for 2016. Or if your wife has some assets of her own that also can be accounted for her income, however I've heard the latter is more difficult to accomplish than getting a co-sponsor.

Does she have W2s from both of her jobs?? I am not an accountant and my husband does our taxes but I would say that teh W2 will show the actual amount she made in both jobs. Maybe she only include ine income in her tax return? I don't know, sorry.

Yes she has W2 from both job,so can we just go ahead and send those w2 with the 2016 tax return paper that have 24,000$ in it?

The sum of the W2s need to match the 1040. I would recommend her to go to an accountant or tax specialist that can review all documents and tell you what is the final amount she made in 2016.

Good morning VJ family. Today makes it exactly 2 years since we officially started this journey and filed with USCIS (of course, we had spent weeks and weeks before the filing running gathering docs requested by our lawyers and accountants in preparation for the actual filing).

Its just so frustrating that 2 years on, we are still here, with no interview dates. I just pray for God to give me patience to be able to wait this out in the right frame of mind. Its just so hard not being able to make concrete plans when you know you're moving your entire family in less than 2 months to another country.

Just needed to vent this morning. Ya''ll have a good day and may more CCs roll in!

God's timing is never easy but it's always worth it, he will grant you more patience to wait on him and in just a little bit it will be over.

Agreed. We thought we would be finished with this process last November but alas I'm now awaiting an interview.  However I fully trust for whatever reason God knew we we're meant to be here til now. Sometimes I don't like it and sometimes I don't understand it, but I know I needed to trust God and trust his timing.

My CEAC status says the following:  "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center."

Do you have to call for the interview date, or is it sent by email?  I think mine is actually being scheduled separately by the embassy as I had an expedite but I'm curious to know what date NVC have booked it for if the above is true.  All I've had from them in email so far is my "checklist" which is actually a "case complete but please take your Assets that you're using instead of income to your interview because we don't check that part" letter.  Basically saying "we're all done with you, its up to the embassy now."

please call NVC and ask when is the interview date, and when was it scheduled, i received the email the next day after being scheduled

Just some of the questions the embassy ask during my wife's interview.

Questions were, how we met, when we decided to get married, where we were married, they asked her my home state and job title.

Although she brought all the documents on the embassy inteview list, all they asked for was the ones relating to proof of relationship. Like phone bills, boarding passes, chat logs, and photos of us together and our wedding.  They never asked her for the AOS, Tax return, or any proof of income.   She told the consular already had them from NVC.

This was at the embassy in Manila.

yay thanks Mike :) i actually about to ask you about the interview, my interview is there as well,
