People getting interview dates, how long after hearing over the phone that you have an interview date do you have to wait until getting the email/letter from NVC confirming your interview date?

From what I see 3 to 7 days

Ok, so the benefit of calling every day is to know the interview date a few days before receiving the email confirming the interview date. That keeps me motivated to continue calling daily.

Am I correct in my understanding that I need to wait to receive the interview email before scheduling the medical, even if I have my interview date confirmed for me over the phone? So even if I know the interview date, I need the actual email confirming the interview date before scheduling the medical?

If this is the case, what is included in the interview email that is needed for scheduling the medical that I cannot obtain over the phone?

My wife had to wait til she got the P4 interview letter(email).  Which that arrived about 5 days after the interview was scheduled.

This was in the Philippines, Manila.

Cc was 3/29. Not sure to be honest. My priority date was 6/9/15 but they say that has nothing to do with the scheduling. And other people say it does. I saw some one here got cc the 3/27 and got middle  of the month appointment.
