Hi guys,

I have recently applied for my Removal of Condition for my 2 years green card. I got the NOA (notice of approval) with the indication of 1 year extension for travel and work.

I just want to know if anyone has been to Vietnam with their expired GC, I751 NOA, and valid passport. The last thing I want to have is that I unable to enter on the airline because of the unfamiliar with this type of paper.

Any advices help :)

The airline staff is expected to be trained intensively on the US travel documentations so do not worry about it. Just travel with your unexpired passport + expired/soon to be expired green card + I-751 receipt and you will be fine.

Hi there,

My husband just came back from Vietnam on March 13 with his expired Green Card, I-751 NOA, and valid passport with NO problem at all.

My husband use Vietnam Passport to check in at Airline and entered to Vietnam. To get in US show the officer all US paper. NO problem at all. Officer took his fingerprint and took his picture.

Don't worried. You'll be fine. Do not listen to rumors. Be confident.

Good luck.

This is super helpful. Did he need to show to the airline staff his I751 NOA on the way back to the U.S?
