Congratulations!! Must be nice to be finally over with the process! If I can ask, what documents did you bring at the interview? Just trying to be completely sure of all I should carry with me, got my interview Thursday afternoon!🤞

Still celebrating. Woohoo! Journey completed. You can color my timeline in red. Ceremony lasted 45 mins, we were only 40 new citizens and everything went soooo smooth. Thank you guys, from the bottom

@Hagrid @Angel19 I am a SF filer.  Send N-400 on 2/28/17 and have Oath on 11/9/17, that’s 254 days. I think you are still well within normal processing times.  Just be patient, your day will come.

hi vitandr! I brought like the entire world I have on paper- Whatever they ask for in the interview letter, the letter itself, greencard, all passports and state ID. I did get my citizenship via marriage ( but I waited 6 years to apply so it's a gamble if they will ask for these or not-) but I brought my husband's birth certificate and our marriage certificate. (I also brought so so many other documents just in case I need to prove any address, travel information and even my mortgage documents for residency but she did not ask for any of these) I did bring an updated list of travel dates which she took into the application package. Also she did tease me a little for bringing so much but also said it was good that I was prepared just in case- good luck on Thursday!

I see! Well better safe than sorry, most definitely! I'll bring my updated list of travel as well - that's the only thing that's changed since filling - and every supporting doc I have, just in case... I have a question though... I have irs transcripts for the last 3 years but I didn't filed taxes for this year just yet. Would this be a problem?

Practice the questions a bunch, I used an app to help me practice. Take more than you think you need, mostly for peace of mind. She didn’t ask to see any new evidence apart from the copy of the birth certificate for my daughter born after I applied. Arrive on time and sit in the section they tell you to otherwise the interviewer can’t find you - this happened and the interviewer went back to his office.  This years taxes aren’t due so shouldn’t be asked for it.

No, since the federal tax filing deadline is on the 15th of April, I doubt they will ask for 2017 taxes until after then.  And if they do you can simply say you haven't been able to file yet!

Thanks for your answer, and congratulations for your baby daughter! I have used the app as well, I feel I am well prepared for the civic/history test but I'll definitely keep practicing till the moment my interview starts...😊

That's what I thought, thanks for your answer!! I am honestly very excited for this moment, I can't wait! Hopefully everything will go smoothly... Congratulations to everybody again!

I had my interview yesterday. Everything went very well. At the end the official gave me the notice telling me that "A decision cannot be made."  I asked when I would get back from them and she told me that I should hear from them in about 120 day but if my file was OK I would get an answer sooner.  Today I got an update from USCIS telling me that my Oath Ceremony is schedule.  I'll update my information once I get the letter in my mail.

Finally I'm a US Citizen. Had my Oath Ceremony yesterday at the Paramount Theater in Oakland. There were 1,121 participants. It was a fun and meaningful celebration.

09/03/2018- NOA2

09/10/2018- Case sent to NVC

09/18/2018- NVC received case

10/12/2018- received email from NVC with the case # ( CEAC processing )

10/16/2018- Paid Fees AOS and Visa Fee

10/19/2018- Submitted Documents. Civil Documents/AOS and completed DS260

10/30/2018- received email from NVC. checked my CEAC acct rejected AOS, Police Clearance and Birth Certificate

Reason: some part is cut off and not clear. Resubmitted the same day.

11/08/2018- Received an email from NVC that all the required documents are approved. Its documentarily qualified and they will schedule the interview.

11/19/2018- Received an email that interview is scheduled for December 17

11/22/2018- First day medical

11/23/2018- Second day medical saw abnormality on the xray need to go back for sputum culture.

1/31/2019-Back to St.Lukes. Medical approved. Scheduled Interview 

2/08/2019-INTERVIEW PASSED

2/13/2019-Visa Issued Status
