Hello private one,

i checked my online status and it says that I have been placed in queue for oath ceremony. Can I assume that my n400 has been approved by the IO? My n652 says decision will be mailed, and I haven't received any mail from Uscis yet. What do you think? Thanks

Being in line for oath means a decision has been made and you have been recommended for naturalization. The decision is probably on its way but don't sweat if it doesn't come. You may simply just get the oath letter. I never got a decision in the mail.

 

Seat back, relax and wait for the oath. Hopefully that will happen soon.

Yikes! That isn't encouraging. I was hoping you'd made it along in the process and hadn't updated the timeline. Seems like Seattle is running 6-8 months. A January applicant completed their interview just two or three weeks ago. Just moved to in line as of yesterday. Guess it'll be a while! Hopefully you hear something soon But....you know USCIS

Hi did you also receive N652 with decision can not be made? How long did it take after that for your status to show inline for oath? Do let me now. thanks

Yes. I also received my N652 with "decision cannot be made" box checked off. My online status stayed the same after I did the interview (09/12). It never went to "in line for oath". I received the oath letter about a week later. I took the oath on 09/27. My online status changed two days ago to "oath letter was mailed".

hmmm.. Now you made it more confusing for me. I was planning to take a trip back home next week for a month. I planned on coming back once i get email notification with case update. As you stated you never received case update and got the mail. I dont want a situiation like that lol.. looks like i will have to cancel the trip ...

Same thing happened to me, just like private ones case. Only that my interview was on aug 30, got the “a decision cannot be made” and then on sep 18 got the oath letter which was scheduled for oct 4. They didn’t update my status online until a couple of days ago. I would advise u to wait on your trip and take it once you are done with the oath. Otherwise u might miss ur oath if you cannot check your mailbox.

Interview successfully completed this afternoon at the San Antonio center. The place was packed. My appointment was at 12:30 I got there at 12:00. They called me in at 12;10 - It took just 15 minutes. I passed and answer the first 6 questions correctly -  otherwise an easy friendly interview.

 

TIP: Take two passport photos with you. I read on here they they could be asked for and they were. Saved me loads of hassle, I had them ready.

 

Good luck to everyone still waiting for their interview.

 

Now I wait for my Oath appointment letter, the IO advised it could be 2 months before it arrives.

Congrats to everyone who already got interviews!! Its almost 6 mths since i applied and im still inline. I called uscis and was able to submit an enquiry. The wait time for some Nyc filers is beyond ridiculous.

I just wanted to put my 2 cents in and please don't take it negative

because  in my  case I already applied for and got the passport back on Oct 4th  received the CON back in mail today 

and went to update my status at the SSA today 

but wanted to let you all know my online status is still  

Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled

We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt

I filed 6 months 2 weeks ago still in line too. It seems the wait is 8 months in Utah. So I should be getting the interview notice by Dec 1st... getting there...
