@Hagrid @Angel19 I am a SF filer.  Send N-400 on 2/28/17 and have Oath on 11/9/17, that’s 254 days. I think you are still well within normal processing times.  Just be patient, your day will come.

08/31/2018- USCIS Approved Petition

09/03/2018- NOA2

09/10/2018- Case sent to NVC

09/18/2018- NVC received case

10/12/2018- received email from NVC with the case # ( CEAC processing )

10/16/2018- Paid Fees AOS and Visa Fee

10/19/2018- Submitted Documents. Civil Documents/AOS and completed DS260

10/30/2018- received email from NVC. checked my CEAC acct rejected AOS, Police Clearance and Birth Certificate

Reason: some part is cut off and not clear. Resubmitted the same day.

11/08/2018- Received an email from NVC that all the required documents are approved. Its documentarily qualified and they will schedule the interview.

11/19/2018- Received an email that interview is scheduled for December 17

11/22/2018- First day medical

11/23/2018- Second day medical saw abnormality on the xray need to go back for sputum culture.

1/31/2019-Back to St.Lukes. Medical approved. Scheduled Interview 

2/08/2019-INTERVIEW PASSED

2/13/2019-Visa Issued Status

dont forget the trip to update social security number ( I did'nt go yet our office is always 2 hour wait time ) but will go soon , 

and am still waiting to have my certificate returned to me

Yup, will go as soon as i am done with the passport have my certificate back. Going to apply on Monday on my lunch break.

Hello Everyone,

 

I need assistance. I would appreciate, if you guys please provide me some advise.

 

Situation- I went for my naturalization interview on 08/31. the IO gave me letter saying decision will be mailed to you. she said " there is one checking left from our end, you should be receiving your decision by a week or so." its been more than a month and I went for infopass two days ago. the person told me during the infopass " the case is still with the IO, that's all I can see in the system. I don't what checking is left. wait another month or so". I am very frustrated, since I have to visit abroad for an urgent family issues. what should I do?

 

1. just wait 120 days?

2. write a letter to the IO and make an enquiry. the form, I was given after the interview says I can write to the IO and I the person confirms me too during the infopass that I am ok to write to the IO. I am just wondering whether its going to effect negatively my case.

 

Please advise. thank you

2. write a letter to the IO and make an enquiry. the form, I was given after the interview says I can write to the IO and I the person confirms me too during the infopass that I am ok to write to the IO. I am just wondering whether its going to effect negatively my case.

I would reach out directly to the IO with a friendly but professional inquiry. In the letter you should acknowledge the 120 day waiting period but point out your urgent family issues with supporting evidence if possible.

Here's a tip - Go through the forums and check out the filer's lists for the various months around the  time you filed. eg. If you filed in April 2017 you should check out the most up to date lists for March, April , May of 2017 to get an idea of how NYC is flowing. Some people like myself who filed in April have already been naturalized while others who filed in March 2017 have not completed the process. You'll find the info you're looking for faster that way.

Guys it's so frustrating isn't it, it's taking so long. Are things slow in the office these days? is there anything you can do to that can help?

 

I know i'm only April filer, i know someone who filed in December waiting for interview TO BE SCHEDULED, it's just so insane. I'm sure things will eventually move to online and this will probably be a history in couple years.

 

 

Does anyone know how you check their current month from their dates posted, like if it says April, what does it mean ? Are they working on April 2016 applications now, what step? scheduling interviews, oath? interview? How is it translated exactly?

6/19/2013- ALL Forms Sent to Chicago Lockbox- (i485, i130 with rest)

 

 

6/21/2013- Package received in Chicago Lockbox

 

 

6/26/2013- Email and Text Notification received in the evening- Package received and accepted at USCIS smile.png

 

 

6/28/2013- They cashed the checks- $420 + $1070 = $1490 smile.png

 

 

7/2/2013 - USCIS Mail notification received (all the forms are received and are in process)

 

 

 
7/3/13- Biometrics letter received- for 7/19/13- Day 13
 
7/9/13 - Early biometrics done! - Day 19

 

 

8/5/13 or so - Status changed for Ready for scheduling

 

 

8/20/2013 - INTERVIEW SCHEDULED FOR 9/20/2013

 

 

8/21/2012 - Interview Cancelled! ;(

 

 

8/22/2013 - 2nd interview scheduled for 24th September.

 

 

8/27/2013 - Online update - EAD card ordered!

 

 

9/5/2013 - EAD card received
