That's pretty fast. Expedited application? I did regular. Would like to have it quicker just because but could not justify spending the additional $60. Was also gonna do the card but just upgrade my driver's license to the enhanced version only available to US Citizens.

I did regular too was reading some posts here  and thought not much time difference between reg and expedited , 

i didn't apply for the card too I will update my state ID

wow that was fast , I just got my passport in mail it came in a priority mail envelop , didn't get my certificate back yet

That was fast indeed. Hopefully your certificate isn't far behind. Is the certificate lag normal? Did you sign up for email alerts on passport processing?

Guys,

 

I have my interview date and time and I'm scheduled to appear in just over a week for my N-400 interview. But without the letter I won't be allowed into the field office - correct?

When I spoke with a Tier 2 officer to get my interview date he advised that I would need to have a copy faxed to me if I still haven't received? Anyone had to do this and did it work out?

 

Can understand why the simple process of sending a letter takes so long its been weeks.

 

Anyone experienced this?

I hope the cert will follow soon too , I  signed up for e mail alerts but never got any e mails i kept an eye on the process per  https://passportstatus.state.gov/

wow a week notice that is very short notice , and no letter can you maybe print the notice online ?  ( I would print the online notice incase you don't get the hard copy ) 

then explain it at the interview

It's too late to tell you schedule an InfoPass or reach out to your congress person. I would try calling again and keep calling until you get some results. If that doesn't work I would go to the field office without an appointment to see what if anything can be done.  At last resort I would show up for the interview without letter to see where it goes.

I just called and got through to a Tier 2 officer. The current wait time is 97 mins. I did the automatic call back. I used this last time I asked them when my interview was and they do seem to actually call you back. Seems that USCIS will fax me a copy of the interview letter. Once I actually get to speak to a real person I will let you know what happens.

Thanks Lona.C If I have to resort to this then I'll try printing the online notice but that doesn't give the date and the time, just that my interview has been scheduled. All I have at this stage is my phone conversation with a tier 2 officer last time who advised me my interview was 10/12 and the time it was. I have still yet to receive anything in writing.

 

Hopefully todays call with USCIS will be more helpful and they will fax me the letter.

 

Not sure what the issue is, never had an issue with mail before and I haven't moved.

Well it worked!

Tier 2 officer called me back, he was really friendly, he organized the fax and fax is now in-hand. So I have my letter. All good.

Don't  know if I'll get my passport as fast as you and the rest who did routine service but I think I would have been pissed paying for expedited service. You and a lot of others who did routine service got passports in less than two weeks. Meanwhile, expedited service promises two to three weeks processing time.
