My wife had her interview exactly a week after the two of you.

She was approved and are waiting on the oath letter.

Purplish blue button down but solid color. It was hard to see my family from where I was seated. Looked back couple times but gave up. I'm sure we cross paths but that guy wasn't me.

She should hear something pretty soon if she's not doing a name change. NYC is moving a lot faster than I thought it would...not for all but a lot of folks got through pretty quick.

I think that she is doing a name change.

 

Her GC & Visa is in her married name but her SS is in her maiden name (not sure how that happened), we were planning on doing the update with SSA after the Naturalization.  On her N-400 she did not put in for a name change but had the section for "other name used'' filled (her maiden). The interviewer asked what name did she want to use going forward and she said her married name and the interviewer recommended the name change. Maybe the interviewer saw something on her end that we didn't.

 

Anyway, NYC have 3-4 Judicial Ceremonies a week so it shouldn't take that long to get the oath date.

@Private Oneand @wqw89 when did you guys fill out the second page of the oath notice? Should I do it on the spot when I get there? My internet is really slow so it makes it harder for me to look, cause I know this has been discussed before.

I did it the night before. Just mark the date the same as your ceremony and you should be fine. I didnt have time to fill the back of the letter out at the ceremony since they took it away before I entered the waiting area

I did mine on the spot. Took about 2 mins. It really doesn't matter if you do it at home or on the spot as long as there are no changes since you had the interview and the date entered is same as the oath date.

Applied for my passport today. Heads up for those with ceremonies at Federal Plaza and expecting to see a passport application booth...It doesn't exist. You'll be given a passport application in your citizenship guide package but there is no onsite processing. You'll need to go to a post office of passport agency.

I applied for my passport on the 22nd it supposed to arrive Oct 9 ,

am just nervous and hope they will send the certificate back in great shape

So just to double check, I am bringing my ead, 2 year gc, passport, state id and the oath letter. Do I need anything else ?

Nothing else is needed...extra space to accommodate your fan base maybe?
