i had took my oath ceremony today it was great and finally I'M A US CITIZEN TODAY its a great feeling and i wish to every one is waiting to be a citizen soon and i would like to thank every one here and thanks visajourney and thanks Lona as well .!!!

Ok, finished with the interview half an hour ago. So because I had a pending i751, they required my husband to be present. Ofc I went alone so I had to call him to come over to the uscis office. He arrives 30 mins later, we waited 20 more mins and then we were called in. She started with the questions for i751, and then she moved to the n400 interview. I passed the civic, reading and writing questions and everything was going good in my opinion. However, she did not approve me on the spot. She said that she has to review all my file, a big pile of documents and a decision can not be made at this time. How long that it usually take? Am I going to have to wait months before I get the approval?

Thank you , I already sign it yesterday but I put the date for the Oath 09/14/2017

  ( I hope that's not going to be a problem, if it is a problem can I white out my sig and sign at the Oath day ? )

how long before given time did you arrive ?

sorry you had such a run around for your Interview ,

I seen many people here who had the same answer as you where a decision could not be made ,

but had an online update within a few days ,

keep your eyes on your account since you passed all the tests , I bet it wont be long before you get in line for Oath

I hear ya. Today it has been 5 months since I mailed it! and a bit over 4 months from biometrics.

Thank you for your kind words  it's just frustrating that now I am back to waiting and it seems it can take up to 120 days to reach a decision. But in all fairness, my file was like 5 inches tick, so she has a lot of documents to look thru. Plus the ones that I brought yesterday, like 2 binders worth of paperwork. Maybe she can't pass approvals on her own and needs the supervisors approval. 

Anyway, the questions she asked were:

- who wrote the Declaration of Independence

- who is in charge of the military

- what is the presidents political party

- name 2 political parties in the us

- name 1 state that borders mexico

- name 3 states of the 13 colonies. 

The reading sentence was "who elects congress" and the writing was "the people elect congress".

No its ok they dont ask you to sign it front of them wish you good luck just relax you in safe side 🙏

wow 2 hour wait I hope mine wont be that long of a wait , but then again its only once in your life feels like being reborn, lol 

my Oath will be at a public Historic  Park right here in springfield

they had 130 sworn in last year and over 200 the year before , the News crew was there and they announced it on the local news 

so it should get interesting

Just received a text message and when I checked my status online I was presented with this...

(I leave for a 2 weeks vacation on Tuesday 9/5 - By the time the letter with the scheduled date and the notice they give me in this letter - I think its 2 weeks I should be safe right? No need to panic?
