Did you already download your WhatsApp messages? Mine printed out with a time stamp. I copied it into a word document, deleted a few private ones, then shrunk the font to size 6, put in 3 columns and printed the whole thing front to back and separated by month. (I theorized "everything but the kitchen sink!") I think I highlighted (and put in larger font) a few select texts. I think that for France, if you pick a few texts from each month, you'd be ok. I doubt anyone read our file - combined with the other info it was huge!

Do you ever use WhatsApp to talk on the phone? If you do, go into the "Calls"  tab, it shows every time you spoke and the date. Mine are all in there from the past two years, it doesn't matter if you've gotten a new phone, either, as far as I know, as long as your number stayed the same. Skype keeps a similar log, though I would check across all devices, if that applies to you.....Skype convos that saved on my iPad differ from the ones I made on my phone. Hope this helps!

My husband and I used Facebook messenger to talk for 11 months straight and had around 80,000 messages. All I did was screen shot the part where it said total messages and submitted that. I know what's app doesn't have total messages but I wouldn't worry too much about having pages upon pages of messages. I screen shotted a few posts with his family tagging me, and submitted pictures of us all together. If you really want to submit pages of messages, go from the very first one as it will show how long you've been talking, and take a few random ones where you guys are talking about something significant in the future such as plans for when you/they come to the US, mortgage/bank account plans etc. As others have said though, the 129f wants hard evidence that you have seen each other physically. Focus more on that if possible :). Good luck!!

I am a bit confused too.....is this topic about communication before the k1 is filed or is it about continued communication after the filing? For example.....I met my fiance online in July 16 and met in person in Germany December 16.....I filed for the K1 in February 17....

I returned from a trip to Algiers today  (to see my fiance and meet his family)....my fiance and I speak constantly on whatsapp....and Skype 3 times a week.....

What is "proof" and when do you submit what?

After reading this thread I feel nervous that I only included screenshots of two emails, and two WhatsApp conversation screenshots with my 1-129f. I did include five photos, boarding passes and passport stamps from both of us.

Don't panic! I didn't included any messages, only a shot of how many messages had been sent. They want more proof that you've spent time together to the boarding passes, pictures together and any receipts that you guys have should be sufficient :)

Thanks all for the advice I think I would prefer to send too many screenshots from whatsapp (rather than too little) and some copies of messages exchanged from the website where we met (it was a language exchange website.) We also copied handwritten letters that we wrote each other and birthday and Christmas cards, so hopefully this is enough!
