When dealing with high fraud embassies, evidence matters, but has to be genuine. Fb created primarily as a immigration ruse can easily be exposed, which destroys the credibility of every other type of evidence.

Spousal visas do not expire. So for the I-130 you are fine, it will not expire but a I-129 fiance petition will be allowed to purposely

expire without review. In some cases USCIS will not send a NOID/NOIR letter for rebuttal to the petitioner and that step is skipped,
they will forward it back to the embassy where they will determine to either hold a second interview or return the petition a

second time. The process is long yes, 18 -24 months.
The best thing is to accept what you can not change, live your lives and visit often. The hard part is not knowing where exactly

exactly your petition is when waiting in queue for the next step and you can contact your senator 3-6 month from now to inquire
if Ghana has returned the case or is still sitting on it and if they have not returned it request that they do return it through the senator's aid.

Every 3 months or so during the entire process the senator can check on your case status. They can't over rule it, may in some cases

cause it to be worked on a bit faster but mostly it has no influence except you know where your case is. (Embassy, NVC,USCIS

and back again). The worst you can do is obsess about the time table and get yourself all depressed.
Research and understand the process yourself so you won't be swayed by so and so that this and that....well research it for yourself,
there are many return/reaffirmation threads for reading available. If you know and understand the process it takes away

anxiety of the unknown. Educate and lead others with facts through the process and don't follow any given advice blindly.
Know the facts.
It took us 5 years, about 16 months in AP and a returned K1 to finally be together so I get it how hard it is.
You will survive and hopefully in 1 1/2 year you will be together. Collect every shred of relationship evidence, espsecially

from visits and communication for ongoing bona fide proof. Have daily skype cam chats. Stay connected.

Appreciate the info..

However I have been researching and I will continue till it makes sense to me... As far as where our petition is,  according to the NVC they received it from the embassy on March 20,2017 , then forwarded it to the USICS on the March 17, 2017 (weird)... I didn't receive any notifications from the NVC I just happened to call on my return trip from Ghana on the 2oth I spent 14 days there... I also visited the embassy, was not allowed in.   They said I  had to call (I did) , was told I needed to email them (did that too)but as usual no type of response(emailing since Dec 2016).  Although I'm unhappy at the outcome of the situation, Im glad to know it at the USICS . Now you stated that they will sometimes skip step in the process,  how would you know what to prepare for?  I will definitely take your advice and read similar story but I'm also looking for a Ppl with first hand experience. My husband and I  did everything right we just don't understand why we were not issued a visa. I can't speak for everyone but who would want to move on with their lives when their life is on the other side of the world.. #noone😢

I posted a link earlier in this thread where other Ghana members are discussing the process, long thread but you will get something
out of it. Well, you see how they have already told you nonsense about having send the case to USCIS before the receive date.
You will run into this problem often, getting wrong dates, wrong information, one day they tell you this and the next day they tell you
something different. This is what everyone has posted, the process is not transparent, no one will send you a letter as what is
happening except for the NOID/NOIR letter which most get and then know what to prepare for, until then you really don't know.
Once USCIS has it it can take a year for you to receive the letter. If you are lucky you get a rare online update, many do not.
Sure, it is tough to carry on with life as usual but if you don't you will be like a deer caught in the head lights fretting
for the next 18-24 months about where your case is.

I went through 5 years of immigration bs and finally had to pull myself together
and realize that worrying and being depressed wasn't going to do a thing for me and that he will be eventually approved when the
time came, nothing I could do but be proactive with inquiries every few months.
Hang in there, this too shall pass !

We were married October 23, 2014; his first interview was November 23, 2015.  The second interview on December 29th, 2015 resulted in being put on Administrative Review.  The Embassy asked for further information pertaining to our relationship, we did, but to no avail.

Our case was updated on April, 13th, 2016 by the State Dept. (ceac.state.gov) to Administrative Processing.  The petition was received by USCIS on June 8th, 2016.  The USCIS issued the  NOIR on November 16th, 2016.  The Embassy lied about our relationship; he totally made up a story.  But, I had plenty of information to rebut the comments in response to the USCIS' Requst For Evidence.  It is all about the legal ties that can be demonstrated through paperwork (joint bank accounts, joint property/land ownership, beneficiary information, etc.)

On March 27th, 2017, OUR CASE WAS REAFFIRMED!!!!!!!!  We received the notice by mail from USCIS/Vermont Service Center. There is no need for lawyers, they really can do no more than you can, especially for a marriage visa.  I responded by telling them our story and gave copies of beneficary information, land paperwork, more affidavits from family & friends, copies of my passport stamps from visits, insurance claim information regardiing a personal issue and social media timelines that totally blew the Embassy Consular Officer's remarks out of the universe!!!!  My rebuttal was 6 pages long; it could have been longer, but I didn't want to start ranting.

We are now waiting to hear from the Embassy about my husband's next interview in which they have no other choice, but to release his visa in which they have been holding hostage, for no good or compelling reason.  I will make sure he has copies of all of the information we submitted to the USCIS just in case the Embassy gets stupid.

It is a shame people have to go throught these problems, but such is life, especially living in a world with so much prejudice!!

Stay encouraged!!  We are not alone in this journey>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<

Will update ASAP.....

The only part that seems odd for me when he told me he couldn't find any evidence i provide on her fb page and her last post was on February 2016 and I said to him it's not true because she said a video with me recently. For me I should  have defended my self by telling him her Facebook account was on privacy but I actually didn't know by then.

Wow! This is a situation where Facebook should not have been provided if it is on privacy. If your wife is going to block anyone else from seeing her account, then why did she submit it as evidence?

The age gap does look suspicious, especially when the woman is older than the man.

It looks like you will have to wait for a response from USCIS. Reapplying without knowing the reason for the denial may lead to another denial.

You can also have your check with her congressperson to see what else can be done.

Unfortunately, the Ghana embassy does that to the vast majority of applicants and many have to wait many years.

Most people have their FB account set to private (friends only) and are successful with FB evidence. Submitting FB pages does not mean
it must be open to the public so CO's can view it. They could have offered the password, some beneficiaries have been asked
for their passwords which is still crazy but if you want to be approved you just have to consider the consequences.
With Ghana there is really no obvious pattern except so many are returned and age gaps though they receive more scrutiny

have made it through.

Many issues arise from previous applications (B2 for example) of beneficiaries with entered data that does not match
the current applications. Many who have a bona fide relationship, all documents and evidence in order
and have visited often still get returned in Ghana. Why that is nobody knows.

Though I agree that some CO's have gone rogue there and I have heard of corrupt CO's demanding bribes and sexual favors
in other countries (news articles) I have not heard such from Ghana and can not make those allegations.
Let's not forget that the high fraud happening there by Ghanaian applicants, paved the way to make it harder for the ones

who are bona fide.
Due to the fraud with documents, false data entered on forms (claiming married on a B2 and then not married on a K1)
and other misrepresentations, they have to scrutinize cases more.
The lack of enough staff doesn't help and add to that perhaps a lack of leadership and adequate training and bad morale
and you get this mess of too many bona fide returns. Just my 2 cents but what do I know, just speculation on my part.
What really is extremely bad in regards to having some common decency towards the applicants and petitioning USC's
is the lack of transparency and the system in general that results in such a poor managed and unreasonably long return and
reaffirmation process. There is no excuse that returns to reaffirmations should take 18-24 months. None.
