You're focusing far too much on the fb evidence.  Overall they don't believe it's a genuine relationship

Exactly. If they denied people visas based on the privacy settings of their FB pages, then I dare to say not many of us would ever be approved.

As others have asked, how long were her visits? Did she meet your family? What was your wedding like? Did you include photos from the wedding? How did the two of you happen to meet?

There isn't much that can be done about this application, but if you plan on trying again and want advice, we need more information.

Sorry to hear about your denial.

All you have mentioned is art work and video calls and Facebook. This is Africa and parental acceptance is vital to an approval. Did you submit pictures with your family, parents friends? All 3 visits showing difference venues. Or did you rely just on Facebook post. When they say fake or set up they are speaking to whoever but you are posting and interacting. I have had a few people get that noted in their denial that their Facebook was just created to appease immigration. Facebook you have friends, family to talk debate whatever. Not just I loves you's with just you two.

And the Facebook might be a sticking point because you didn't know. Remember you are married they expect you to know such things and not be blindsided at an interview.

Ghana is big on visits of long duration. When you have red flags like you do (the age no big deal) but a divorced woman with 3 kids is ages of maturity(well generally speaking) older. It's a big deal. They are approving a visa for you to  immigrate to a whole family not just her.

Me and my husband had red flags so I moved to Nigeria stayed from approval at USCIS to Visa in hand 6 months later. We also meet 6 months before we got married first visit. And this after I divorced my previous Nigerian husband 30 days prior to marriage. You have to do what's needed.

Unfortunately nothing you can do. You are in for quite a wait. People I am helping now had denials in January and February of 2015 just having interview. Expect now 18 months to even hear from USCIS. Keep the visits going.  And Ghana truly holds on to petitions usually 6 to 8 months before they ever even send them back. Then it will sit until reviewed for Revocation.

Facebook is circumstantial evidence.  Sounds like they really didn't believe your relationship.  What other evidence did you provide?

When you say Facebook chat is circumstantial, does the same apply to chat logs from WhatsApp or similar services? That is how most of us chat since international texting is limiting and costly.

Well join the crowd of people who marry their hubbies the first visit. I'm thinking most the consulars conclusion is your not knowing how to interview. You must be confident in your answers and they are looking your body language. Most of the guys are not reviewing what the wives are putting in the package. Plus when talking with your hubby or wives you need to present quality evidence not quantity. Plus it's a trend that's going in Ghana men are marrying plus size women and they usually older them. They are looking at social norms and they know most men there want children. I know some may get mad at me but it's the truth.

OP's wife is not that much older than he....and, while we don't know her size, what does it matter if a wife is "plus size?" Foreign Service officers are well informed about the culture of the country in which they are stationed - Generally, men from Africa don't have the same hang ups with a woman's size, as men from other parts of the world.

I'd still like to hear from the OP, as to whether or not his wife has spent time with his family? How long her visits were? How they met, and what was their wedding like? Has he taken her to visit different places, people and things during her visits - and did they capture any of this in photographs?

I was denied  CR1 visa on 27 of march 2017 in Ghana. They gave me a letter stating " The applicant has been found ineligible under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act  (INA). We will return the above case file(s) to (NVC), which will then transfer the case to (USCIS) office.  The USCIS office will contact you as soon as they receive your petition(s). Please do not contact this Embassy regarding this case. As it may take up to six months for the case to be forwarded, please do not contact the USCIS service centre until you've received notification from them." I don't know what to do. Please i need your advice ???

There is nothing you can do at this point. The time from interview to reaffirmation takes about 18 months +.
The petition will go to NVC, then USCIS.
The petitioner will receive a NOID/NOIR letter in about 9-12 + months and it will address the CO's findings.
The petitioner then has a another chance for a rebuttal of the findings and can should address all points with an
explanation and evidence.
If USCIS is satisfied with the rebuttal they will send the petition back to the embassy with a NVC stop.
You then have a second interview where you are either approved or it will be returned again.
If USCIS is not satisfied with the rebuttal they deny the petition.

Your wife should create an account here to be prepared for the process.
Meanwhile as you are waiting out the long process she needs to keep up with several visits for as long as she can.
The more and longer she can visit the better and it is more evidence of a bona fide relationship she can rebut with
for the NOID/NOIR letter.
Ghana sends back the most petitions compared to any other country for the past several years and some who are
genuine couples who do everything right still get returned. Of course many are also returned due to fraud and misrepresentation
when data is compared to previous applications and for quick marriages after only the first short trip and not enough visits.

Here is a thread where you can read timelines from other Ghana members whose petitions have been returned and reaffirmed or returned a second time and those who are still waiting in a confused state of mind on whatever their next step happens to be.
You will not hear much of anything and the process is extremely confusing and non transparent but if you persevere you
will get there.
I outlined what will happen above but suggest you still read this thread

Best wishes for a reaffirmation.

That

That maybe true but I have been noticing most ladies who marry Ghanaian men and who are plus have been getting denied. I have petitioned for my husband twice. But I have noticed the one getting through are closer to the guy age. I have been through this twice and many have been denied and some have gone through evidence is everything and plus they guys must know all about their including finances. He has to be confident and know how to interview well. In Ghana body language is great.

I have to agree with @chris_trina about the interview. You can submit the best evidence in the world, but if your partner can't sell your relationship and answer the questions to the satisfaction of the CO you will never get approved.

My husband was asked to give his cousin's address in the states. He told them twice he didn't know. I know the question was asked to see if he would lie. These COs are sneaky and the beneficiary needs to be prepared for anything.

I married my husband on my first trip to ghana. I only stayed two weeks, made a second trip and stayed another two weeks. He was approved in December 2016. Im starting to believe that the approval are based on the counselor and the spouse who is being interviewed.  I have read what others sent in for evidence and they sent ten times more than what I sent it. Its really devastating that people are being denied

Hello every one....

The same thing happened to my husband and I.  In Nov 2016 he attended his first interview,  everything was fine except he was given a 221g and asked to come back for another interview Dec 20 2016 and bring the requested items which was our chat history 2014-16 the chat history with his brother, any other evidence to support the marriage.. We did.. Fast forward to Dec 20 interview  my husband gave everything that was ask to give but was told he couldn't issue a visa,  it will be sent back to usics ... I had only visited once since we married and planned to visit more but with the process and work children etc I have to wait for vacation time to do so.. Ghana embassy held our petition for 3 month before sending it back,  strongly believe my attempt to visit the embassy in  Ghana ion March 9 and a email to them 13 made them move the case on.this process is so unfair
