Kifak and Kifek.. Are definatly Lebanese terms But i think the Arabs basically know your trying to say.. How are you

It is hard with all the different dialic's.. I first learned alot of the Lebanese Style arabic... Now I have to re learn everything with Egyptian slang

I like how Iraqis say "I love you" in their dialect. It sounds like they're calling you a *betch*. Hehehe.

Keifik and keifak are not only Lebanese. Yemenis also use it among others.

These terms are all from standard Arabic... yes, you are writing in a Lebanese accent/style, but any Arabic-speaking person would understand you.

"Kiefak" is just a slangy way to say "kief al hal". This phrase is very common in the Levant (Jordan/Syria/Lebanon/Palestine.) Iraqis would probably use "shlonak" and Egyptians would probably say "ezzayak" instead.... but everyone would also understand "kiefak."

Dont have time to dig up my list of words . . . and I have plenty, LOL! . . . but I was adding to my google homepage and found an "Arabic Word for the Day" link to add, then I went over to the website . . . check it out! It says it offers over 30 FREE wordfiles for download and has electronic flash cards, etc. Hopefully some of us will get some use out of it, hehe!!

echrass/echrassi - SHUT UP!! (I got to this word after an interesting conversation where I was using "shut up" in slang English to mean something like "get out of here!" or "what do you mean?" or "I don't believe you!" . . . or just expressing amazement/incredulity, etc . .. not really saying STFU, OK??? Try explaining all that!

for the polite version: escoot/escooti - be quiet!

Is is only Egyptian?? I don't know but that's where I learned it.

roh degahanim (??) . . Go to Hell (your soul to hell) . . . useful for replies to friends asking dumb questions about "when is he going to get here?" . . BUT only say it with a big smile on your face, PLEASE!!

No, it's not only Egyptian. My children say that to each other and they speak Arabic with a Yemeni dialect.
