Hi

My wife and I recently finished our i-130 application and sent it to America where my mother in law will fill out a check of 535$ and add it to the application.

After sending it, I noticed that the new i-130 forms look way longer and more complicated than the once we filled out before. So the question is:

- Did USCIS update the i-130 application process recently, and will our application be returned to us?

Thanks

Although USCIS will accept the 12/23/16 edition until 4/27/17, it is best that you submit the 2/27/17 edition since you haven't mailed it out. Saves a lot of hassle and eliminate any possibility of RFE for the latest form edition when they finally adjudicate your case :)

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

What was the expiry date on it?  check the top right hand corner if its the same as mine was. They have indeed updated it but looks like if you had the most recent version before this you're ok. Here's the instructions from their website.

"02/27/17.  Starting 04/28/17, USCIS will only accept the 02/27/17 edition. Until then, you can us"e the 12/23/16 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the Form and Instructions"
