AOS Vaccination Record

Hi All,

 

We are in the process of filing my AOS and I have read in the VJ guide:

 

"If you are a K-1, K-2, K-3 or K-4 visa holder the I-693 instructions state that you are not required to have another medical examination as long as your Form I-485 is filed within one year of your overseas medical examination. If you are missing any shots from your overseas medical a I-693 vaccination transcription is required to be completed by seeing a Civil Surgeon to have certain portions of the I-693 completed and have the Civil Surgeon certify the form (sealing the original in an envelope and giving you a copy)."

 

I didn't have my MMR shot at the time of my medical but I got it done at a Boot's pharmacy just before leaving the UK and brought the confirmation and updated vaccination records from my doctor's office with me. Can someone tell me what I need to do with these and at one point I supply them in the AOS process? Do I still need to see a 'Civil Surgeon'?

Because the MMR was after your visa medical, it was not recorded on an official immigration form.

Take all your shot records to a Civil Surgeon to get them recorded and signed off. You do not need another full physical exam. Keep calling until you find one who will do the shot records only.

OK thanks, do I need to do this prior to filing my AOS papers? And is it just a case of googling 'civil surgeons' in the area and asking them if they can do it?
