Hi everyone.

I would like to know how should look request to get married in detention facility, to who I should adress my request and what I should write. It's in New York State. Me and my fiancé who is locked up in imigration facility want to get married, they already agree with his request, now it's my turn.

Thanks

No personal experience but I would guess you'd address it to the head of the facility, and write about why you want to do this now, why not wait till he is out/ have a ceremony with friends and family in his home country later, and that you have a celebrant paid and ready whenever the request is granted.

Since they already agreed to his request, perhaps they will tell him what he needs to do next to have this happen?

Is there any way someone there could tell him?  My guess is write to the prison directly or perhaps call and try and find out

Some other questions arise.  Is there a possibility that he can be bonded out?  Does he have a court date? Are you planning on AOS (if so, I'd get an excellent lawyer).
