Texas Service Center 2017 I130 IR1/CR1 Visa

Good morning,

 

I contacted USCIS i am on day 63 (RFE response received by USCIS) Spoke to Tier 2 who told me that they are having major delays  and that they havent made a decision on my case. He place a service request and told me that i should hear about what is going on with my case by January 10th, 2018.

 

my PD is 4/7/2017

IR2

I-130 for my step daughter

 

4/6 - I-130 sent USPS

4/7- I-130 received at Chicago Lockbox

4/12 - Money order cashed

4/13 - Notice of acceptance (Text/ email) - Case assigned to TEXAS

4/18 - Notice of acceptance (regular mail USPS)

10/4- RFE - for intial evidence notice online

10/19/2017 RFE notice received

10/20/17 - RFE response sent

10/21/2017 - RFE delivered to USCIS address

10/23/2017 - USCIS system updated " Response to USCIS request for evidence was received

1/22/2018 - Approved (Tier2 informed me by phone)

2/8/2018 - Case Sent to NVC

2/21/2018 - NVC received case 

3/30/2018 - Case & Invoice number over the phone

3/30/2018 - DS-261 completed

4/2/2018 - Welcome letter by email

4/3/2018 -  Paid $120 & $325

4/10/2018 - Sent IV & AOS documents

4/11/2018 -  Post office delivered documents to NVC

4/11/2018 - Completed DS260

4/23/2018 -  Case Completed

Yes they mentioned it could because of the holidays. There could be added delay of 15 days max. I am hoping all TSC filers from May PD and June PD to be cleared by end of Jan 2018. Lets see what happens and we always have an option to call your local congressman and look in to your particular case. that really helps and speeds up in approval process.

Thank you for your reply! I am really hoping for that too. My timeline says that I should wait for something until February 19th. If I don't hear anything, I will look to contact a congressman for sure!

Im so sorry to hear about everybody's long wait. I am going crazy here and it has been almost 5 months. I really hope we hear from them soon. Wishing the best for us all in this new year to come!

My sister was approved on the 14th Dec but they received the notice in the mail yesterday. Response to RFE was updated Oct 27th and they were approved on Dec 14th. We are still waiting for ours

This is a great and awesome news Abies, your sister case is also at Texas ? Did she calles before to USCIS ?

Yes.. Texas Service Centre.

She called few days prior to the approval day&they were told their case was already on the officer's desk awaiting a decision.

No emails,sms or app update

Timeline

Texas is taking so long with sending files to NVC! I was approved November 15th & it still hasn't reached them. I called NVC today & they said it could take up to 6 weeks & to call back next week. If they don't have it by then, I can email their research department & send them a scanned copy of my approval notice. I guess the holidays aren't helping...but c'mon!! Lol

12-26-17 Case sent to Dept. of State

Yeah right...we just called them and even told them there has been a bunch of people approved with PD dates long after us and he told us 'it is a case by case status' and he repeated that sentence like 10 times... 209 days now... I am seriously exhausted from this process

They finally sent our file to NVC. It took 6 weeks from approval! Our status changed to "case was sent to department of state", it was sent on December 26th. Guess I'll give it 2 weeks before I start calling!

4-24-17 I-130 sent to Chicago Lock Box

4-25-17 NOA 1 & sent to TSC

11-15-17 NOA 2

12-26-17 Case sent to Dept. of State

1-08-18 NVC Received case

3-12-18 Case Number Assigned / AOS & IV Fees Paid

When you speak to the representative just tell them to transfer you to a TIER 2.
