Hi everyone. We had our interview yesterday and were aproved and less than ten minutes. We took insurance card, health insurance, photos, bills, etc. But we did not need to show then. The only question that was ask was how we met. they say the FBI clear my case really fast since my last name is very common.

When we went back home, i check the mail and my EAD was there.

That's a kind of insesitive thing to say... It might seem like a waste of time ifor you since your AOS was approved before your EAD/AP, but that is obviously very rare. Plus you never know what could go wrong, you could get stuck in namecheck for years, or they might "accidentally" send your application to the wrong place...who knows.

You're right Seldi...it's really a personal choice based on someone's financial need and level of risk they're able to take. But, on VJ opinions are strongly stated, so I guess take it with a grain of salt!

It also of course depends on what kind of work you do when you're here. If you work in carpentry or construction, often 90% of the crew is not technically eligble to work. Restaurants, too, and I imagine many more kinds of jobs. It would be different if you were looking for work in white-collar positions, I suppose. Even though it's a big construction company on a public project with a lot of oversight, my husband's bosses never seemed interested in his work eligibility as long as he had a valid social security number. We did things the right way and applied for the EAD, which did turn out to be unnecessary because they moved on the AOS first, but I always feel like if you open yourself up to problems, problems will enjoy the open door.

Before I sent my form I looked over a lot of people's post and they stated that EAD is sometimes not necessary, so I took a chance of not applying for it. Glad that my name check cleared so fast and my AOS was first. That was my main concern for the interview that I won't get approve because of name check. GL to the rest.

i cant belive it guys, i just got touched at my EAD, after along long time, i never been touched since march 11 after my biomatrics, all the touches was for AOS only, i pray God i get some more news for God sake

my wife called senator 2day, and i made inquary couple of days ago, which any thing happen, i neeeeeeeeed my EAD, but any way guys
