I currently hold conditional green card and will be lifting my condition this December. Just recently I got a job in other state, live in this state temporarily 4 nights a week and commute back to the address that I used for applying green card since my husband and I have house there and we still use this address as permanent address and have all our mails there. My question is if I need to fill in AR-11 to inform INS to change my address since this is just a temporary address in the state where I am working at. Thank you for any inputs.

So in your opinion, I should change my address? But the thing is that my husband (USC sponsor) doesn't change his address at all. A little confused about this now. :(

But the thing is that my husband (USC sponsor) doesn't change his address at all. A little confused about this now. :(

The USC only changes his address with the Post office and that too only if he wants his mail delivered to the new address. (Yes he needs to tell everybody - banks, credit cards, utilities, magazine subscriptions, friends, relatives etc. etc. if he wants his mail to come to the new address - but there is no official place he needs to inform - (but the Green card holders are required to notify USCIS.) Good Luck

No, my comment was in general about all these people asking about change of address lately. :) We need to write up a post to sticky about when and when not to change address; and how.

if you will not be receiving mail at the second address, then there is no reason to change your address with USCIS. Only if you were moving permanently would you need to do that.

And I agree, with 5 questions about address changes every day lately, a sticky about it might be in order.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card

PLEASE DO NOT PRIVATE MESSAGE ME OR EMAIL ME. I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT CURRENT US IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES!!!!!

That will be a really good idea.

The only mails that come into the new place that I am temporarily living in are my cable internet and electricity bills for this new apartment plus some drunk mails. All other of our important mails such as pay stub, bank statements etc still go into our permanent address. I thought I didn't have to change my address unless my husband and I decide to sell the house and move out of that address. Just want to hear some other people's opinion. Thank you very much.
