So my fiance had his interview. They asked him to return one more paper, as he has a criminal record. They asked for a court paper and Proof of relationship.  My question is they asked him to drop off these papers by Aramex. Does this mean we are delayed? Will they send back the passport and tell us what to do next OR is it possible we will actually get the visa in this way?

It will take them I assume 1-2 weeks to get and review the paperwork.

Did they keep his passport at the interview or tell him to drop it off with the paperwork?

So I checked the CEAC site today and it says REFUSED!!! What can be done? I'm not sure why they refused the visa? well maybe you are new in immigrant process, american immigrant law are very strict about immigrant, USA doesnt admit certain persons who has cumited some crime.

What if we marry in his country and file marriage visa? they didnt refuse the visa because relationsship issues, they refuse by the crime that he has cumited. when they refuse you because they belive that your relationship is a fraud, then the solution is get married and file spouse visa, but in this case they refuse by his criminal record, you need read about inadmisibility immigrant issues,

just think, a consular officer reading fiance's record, the CO can think that your fiance is a danger person, that can be a risk for person at USA, a person who use firearm without permition and was involved in a muder isnt a good profil for an immigrant

Any suggestions? i suggest you, look for a lawyer and see what can do, and see if he can go to USA one day or he isnt inadmisible to travel to USA never in his life

I contacted a lawyer. He suggested wait to get the letter to find out why we were refused. He states that I should go and marry him there in Jordan, the process is easier and cheaper. So now we paid all this money for k1 visa only to start at the beginning? I'm so disappointed.
