Hey so I want some advice on our case. My boyfriend was based in San Diego and that's where my dad lives. I am British and live in England but travel every year to San Diego, this time I met my boyfriend and 90 days later, 3 days before I HAVE to go home. He proposes! So I go home and what a mistake that was. Now filing for a K1. We have a video together, but can't send that in paperwork. But no photos. I went to visit him and his family in Georgia which I have boarding passes for and a stamp to say I was in San Diego. And he has his orders saying he was in San Diego. I even have maps saying we lived 20 minutes apart. And proof I went and met his family. His family is writing a noterised letter saying I was there, and my family are writing a noterised letter saying he was at my place all the time. What else can we do and put into the petition to make sure it gets accepted??? help! We have texts etc/ Facebook.. bla bla bla.. which I will screenshot but.. I feel like no pictures, will screw us over. Also he is a U.S Marine, im praying his service carries some respect and weight.

All you need is passport stamps, boarding passes/iteneraries, ect....

Photos are secondary (but yes good to include).

Letters from family I guess can help.

You do not have a hard embassy to go through in England so I wouldn't stress too much honestly.

Only weight his service will have is if you expedite due to an upcoming deployment he may have (6 years active army here previously and did nothing. haha)

Welcome!

First, you didn't make a mistake by going home. Sure, you could have stayed and married in those 3 days and then done AOS, but that's just one (simpler) option.

As for the video, you can print out screen caps from it and use that like photo evidence. It's not a photo so don't claim it to be, obviously, but that along with a signed note is evidence.

Keep in mind you're on the I-129F part of the process. The requirement is that you have met at least once within the past 2 years. Photos are secondary evidence. The other items you noted should be sufficient IMHO. The FB texts and such won't help prove that you have met in person within 2 years, but are fine to include for the interview, or if you choose to front load your petition. Things like boarding passes, itineraries, receipts, etc. are good. Check out the guide for more examples: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

The US has incredible respect for those serving for us. However, USCIS and COs are required to look at the evidence under the law...all people are to be treated equally there (at least in theory!). They also have a slightly lower financial requirement (100% versus 125% for the I-864 during AOS).

Good luck!

Hi! Thanks so much for your feedback guys! I have sleepless nights and tears over this but in my head in all makes sense like why would anyone deny that! I have call logs and the video good idea I'll screen shot time lapses in the video. I have San Diego stamps when he was there and boarding passes to Georgia where his family live. And letters from both sides of the family. I'm praying that's enough along with texts etc.. the interview at the embassy I'm not too worried about because body language says it all! I'm dying to be with this guy. But it's the petition I'm scared of! I want it all to be perfect! Also not really understanding why we both have to fill out G325a forms.. just repeating ourselves on a different form?!?

The G-325A is a biographical form that they keep for a history and for reference. It does include fields not on the I-129F, such as a work and residence history.

Just take a deep breath, review the guides, and you'll be fine. London is a pretty easy embassy.

ok that sounds fair enough but I read on this website you should put your passport pictures in a plastic bag and attach them to your G325-a forms.. ?! Is that right! Working my way through the giant check list

The typical recommendation is that passport photos for each person would be put in a separate plastic bag and attached to a separate sheet of paper. Check the guide linked above:

One passport-type photo (see specification) of the foreign fiance. Write the full name of the foreign fiance on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of (insert foreign fiance name) ". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a.

The location of the sheet with the photos attached doesn't really matter, but having them in an easy to follow order is probably appreciated and less likely to have them miss it when processing the case. :)

Going to echo the others by saying you can take screenshots of your video together. Also, take screenshots of your online conversations as well as video calls.

Did you by any chance save receipts or tickets when you were together? I scanned and printed movie tickets, even stamp cards from restaurants we went to. But yeah, if you have none of these, take as many screenshots of your conversations and video calls. We had around 8 pages of those. And since you only have videos, maybe write something about it to help fill the pages. We have around twenty pages of photos and we wrote captions for them as well. I think that will help you a bit. So take 3 or 4 stills per video and write about it. Hope this helps. :D

Also, do you have an engagement ring? Take a photo of you wearing it, and ask your fiance if he still has the receipt. If he does, then it would be great to include that in your packet as well.
