:help:

I applied for my AOS after entering the US under a K1 visa. The process with all the papers took pretty long, and was kinda frustrating.though, finally,I got my EAD card in the mail, and like 2 weeks after that,I rcvd 3 emails, one saying "Approval notice sent" ,another saying "Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident" and the last saying " Card production ordered",all of them concerning my AOS.

My questions are:

Besides going to the imigration office near us to get my finger prints taken,my wife and I never got interviewed. So do these emails mean I just got approved and we wont need to be interviewed?

And my other question, since I got approved and Im a permanent resident now(well thats what this email says,Im still waiting for my mail to be sure what im talkin about LoL  ),do I still need to request an authorization and fill out the form I-131 if I want to travel out of the country for holidays?

Thanks all

Chris

Congrats, your Green Card will arrive soon. Once you have it you can travel outside of the USA and return without the need for I-131, unless you want to leave the USA for a long time. You won't be interviewed, but you may be when you apply to remove conditions on the Green Card (although its far from clear if you will have to).

Congratulations! The same thing happened to my husband - just fingerprints, no interview, and he got the greencard before getting approved for EAD or AP.

With the greencard, you don't the EAD anymore, and you won't need the AP document either, unless you plan on leaving the country for more than a year.

Once again, congrats!

timeline doesn't matter.
