Thank you so much. Did they schedule an interview already to your beneficiary’s foreign country? Also did you ask them to expedite the petition or you just upgraded it from f2A to Immediate relative? Please keep me posted.

Nope. Still waiting.

It is expected to be 2 months for NVC to process the AOS and IV package to schedule an interview (which could be 1-2 months later, depending on the country's schedule).

Thank you. You are still lucky because you are 1 step closer. Unlike me still here waiting for approval. The waiting game is so depressing. Its been a month now since I upgraded the petition.

@RileyCade can you share your timeline? actually i will be in the same boat very soon for my wife case. did your case got approved? did they change your priority date after you upgraded your i130 from f2A to IR1?

also, one question: CSC doesn't show timeline for (USC filing for spouse IR1) in the processing timing page of uscis? it shows only for permanent resident filing for spouse (F2A) where waiting is 19 to 25 months, I am curious do they to another service center? and how they determine the current date for IR1 if they keep in CSC.

your response will be very helpful. thank you

USCIS had approved my case after my post. My case was at USCIS for 9.5 months in total (California).

For my case, it took USCIS:

  • 3 weeks to upgrade to USC (after calling them to get the Service Request #).
  • 5 weeks to approve after USC upgrade.
  • 2 weeks for the case to be delivered to NVC.

In NVC, I had to wait 8 weeks for my case to be entered to their system and 1 more week to pay the AOS bill.

Hope this helps.

I know this post is 1 yr old but Ive been calling them to know whats going with our petition. I couldn't go through the automated section to talk to the representative. It will be 1 month next week and I haven't heard anything from them.
