No Update From NVC Since We Sent The Documents

I just got off the phone with NVC to confirm if they received the documents. They confirmed that they received it on the 16th of March and I was told it will take 11 weeks to fully review  the application.

 

My Question now is:

Do we have to wait for the 11 weeks before calling again to confirm the status of the application?

At what stage can we request to speak to a supervisor?

 

I am asking these questions because of the the similar posts I came across here. Some people said after 11 weeks of waiting, their application still wasnt ready. So, they requested to speak to a supervisor and they were told to wait for another 42 days for Supervisor's review.    I am just trying to prevent this from happening.

@togsonkaks you may call them once in a while, it may be weekly, some people do still call twice a week while waiting, you may ask if they are curently reviewing your documentsas you guys speak,(to atleast know) some cases were completed before reaching 11 weeks, BUT most are more than 11 weeks, you may request for supervisor review after reaching 11 weeks

Thank you so much for this. I think Im gonna start calling them a month after the scan date. Does that sound Ok?

Yes  @togsonkaks just remember to call ET 7:00am (the best time to call to avoid waiting so long)

hi, i am new here and i have been reading your reviews everytime, and it does give me new hopes. I am on the same situation as Katherine, my scan date is 13th jan 2017, and its 11 weeks already but still no response from Nvc. Anyone has got case complete for 13th jan 2017 scan date?

hi, i am scan date january 13, and my case is complete today. and so is Katherine, we both have january 13 as scan date and both case complete today. 

 

have you tried calling them? please ask them "i'd like to ask for the status of my documents, is it being reviewed as we speak?, or is it currently being reviewed?

or have they started reviewing it?"
