You book travel in the name on the passport and document any discrepancy by showing a copy of your marriage certificate to CBP.

You book in the name of the passport. I had the same situation as you when we went back to the Philippines last year. I accidentally booked the tickets with my wife's married name. We had to get it sorted out at the airport and it was a pain in the butt.

So, the agency we booked through is giving us a hard ### time and also charging a big fee to go through the process.  If in case we dont go through the name change, what do we need and need to do in order to get through the immigration, based on your experience? and also how long did it take?  thank you!

Did you already book the flight in her married name? We had to get it changed at the airport before we flew out to the Philippines and it took us 30 minutes. Going through Philippines immigration was really easy just make sure you bring her green card with you and a copy of the marriage license.  We then had to change her name on the flight to davao and it took 20 minutes.
