between NOA1 and NOA2 - what to do

Day 25 after NOA1, no NOA2. Timelines for similar situations suggested we would wait about 16 days. Timeline for VSC said 26 days. And I read something on my timeline about April 11.

My opinion is that our case just isn't running as quickly as we like, but we shouldn't be too concerned yet because while Vermont is usually fast, it isn't always. Realistically it is too soon to have true worries. This is what I think based on everything I have read on VJ. That we should just wait, VSC is faster than the others so we have it good compared to people using other service centers. Ignore the timelines with best case scenarios.

My fiance's opinion is that we need to call now. He seems to think calling shows how much we want this and VSC would therefore skip right to us. He sees people's posts about believing in the timelines of people in similar situations.

So we have a tiny disagreement here. I do tend to be very stubborn about some things...but I think I'm right. And he thinks he is right. So tell us what you think we should do 25 days after NOA1 w/o NOA2? We've had 2 touches....do you think maybe it got caught up in an IMBRA thing, or maybe it's because of my fiance's country?

Vermont usually process cases faster than any other services so you better start working on your necessary documents for the Packet 3 (if ever you should get one) and for the interview... You wouldn't want to be surprised with how fast things go after the NOA2, which I'm pretty won't take too long to come.

NOA2! Today! I was planning call USCIS for my fiance, this is the best timing...the very day I said I would call.

get all of the things ready that you and your fiancee can, make sure that you focus on items that don't have an expiration date, or recency requirement (set by the embassy where your fiancee will be interviewed).

other than that I would say just sit back and focus on your relationship, keep good records of your correspondence with your fiancee (phone, mail, chats, email, etc.) and finally have a positive outlook; if it is meant to be then it will happen of its own good time.
