So it does work (allowable) to get your medical exam done before you receive your email for your interview date?

As per my knowledge, all the US embassy authorised medical centres ask for the Interview letter before giving you the appointment. I have confirmed it from both the medical centres in Delhi. However, I don't deny the possibility of the rule being country specific. So i have to wait for the interview letter before going for medical.

As far as I know it is best to wait for the interview date as you never really know when a date will be given because it depends on the specific country and how many cases they got per month to schedule. If it is too long of a wait you may have to get a updated exam.

Actually, while some may be valid for that period not all are. Our country reciprocity schedule says they are valid for 6 months and for 3 months if the immigrant has special circumstances. It's best for people to check Thier specific consulate because it could take days, weeks, or months to get a interview depending on the country although within 60 days is the norm.
