No response in 90 days. Can I do anything?

Hi guys

 

I have been looking at the forums for other people in my position, but I keep seeing conflicting information. I know every case is different, but I thought I’d look for some input.

 

My AOS forms including I-485, I-131 and I-765 on the 20th of December 2016. I had my biometric appointment on 25/1/17 and I have not heard anything since.

 

I was wondering if this is normal for the others out there? Did anyone try and contact USCIS for an update?  I was under the impression that the I-765 (EAD) would at least be processed within 90 days. I checked online and it shows the forms were received, but nothing seems to have happened since the end of December. 

 

I haven’t had a request for further information either, which I understand would slow down the process.

It's normal, they are backlogged... people are waiting between 88-130 days or so atm... just hard to know what it will be for you. You can call USCIS and place a service request for your EAD/AP applications if you like.

USCIS is no longer promising EAD/AP within 90 days, although mine was approved on day 89 since my NOA1. Your time is coming very quickly.

 

Follow this topic for December AOSers, just like you and me: 

 

03-19-2021: Officially an American Citizen 🇺🇸 Entire journey from initial K-1 Visa filing to Naturalization took 5 years, 8 days.
