To be honest I'm not sure where he would go in Fayoum to get this document. From what I understand other cities handle it a bit differently. He can still go to the Abassaya building in Cairo and find out, as I know that's where we were directed to go, as I am a foreign spouse and not Egyptian. My husband when he went to a different branch closer to where we live, he was asked if his spouse was Egyptian or Not, and then when he told them that I'm American, he advised my husband to go to the Abassaya building as they handle that there. But again since your husband is from Fayoum I'm not entirely sure.

Sis did you have address of this building, my husband is asking where it is.

I don't have the address. I'll have to get it from Ahmed. I will message it to you in a moment. I do have this link... I'm not sure if your husband can do this online or not. https://cso.gov.eg/NetServices Some of the information he will find online is old and outdated...  and doesn't apply to all regions of Egypt.

Hello everyone,

Follow up on family registration I submitted to VJ on March 7th.  As mentioned, previously, on our second interview

my husband was asked for a Family Registration....He did all of the steps requested and after being told so many things he had to do,  including going back to his place of birth and submitting requested informaiton there,(birth certificates of all family members, which is exactly what he did, he was then told that it was not what they wanted!!!  He then proceeded to do a different Family Registration...which no one had told him to do in the first place which was just his info and mine, as his foreign wife.  When he took the requested information to them..they told him to come

back in a week to pick it up...When he went to pick it up on Monday, this week, they had put it in a drawer and had done nothing with it!! Now they are telling him that he has to get a new ID registration # showing he is married!!         Why on earth can't they give him the needed information all at once??? Our timelime to get this all accomplished, is within this month....and now we are not going to make that deadline!!  My question is;  Will they kick out our petition when it is a few days late?? This is totally not my husbands fault!  Please, if any of you have had this experience ...let me know...and what we should do.  Thank you in advance for your advice!
