So in July 20 of 2016 my mom and and I went in for medical exams together. I had used Marijuana a couple of times a month or longer ago but I had no idea it would come out in my blood test so when I was asked if I had tried any drugs I said no. My mom had no idea. I was called into a room pressured to say everything. I told her that my mom didn't know that I used and that was the biggest reason of why I denied it to the nurse. From that moment something would go wrong so I went crying to my mom and step dad to let them know before they found out a different way, they were very disappointed of course. Anyway back to what happened... the day after I got a 1 year ban but I wasn't given any instructions on what to do next just that I could go back to retake the medical exam in July of 2017. I have lived in the US since I was 5 and I'm 20 now. It's been very hard being in Mexico for these past months idk what to do. Please let me know if you've been through the same situation. I want to go back home!

If you lied about using drugs and then they found out and only got a year ban for it... You're actually lucky. Lying about such things can give you a lifetime ban.
